Not my first read by the author, she was one of my very first reads many moons ago and still is to this day! I also have read every book in the series so I am very familiar.
Harper has it tough, she was chewed up by LA and spit right back out. Being a screen writer she though things would be great, until she is on a flight home with her tail between her legs. Worrying what her family and friends will say about the failure. Gavin on the other hand is someone new-ish and has gotten to know everyone in Cape, become friends with them and a man who wouldn’t forget a hot body like Harpers. But she is different now, unsure, hiding, fake…and he is determined to find out what happened to his carefree sweet Harper he met 10 months ago!
Gavin is set out to do more than just find out what happened 10 months ago, he is also going to help her get back out there in the dating world and help her with her writing. Whats the catch Harper wonders? After all he is pretty clever when it comes to games, Harper is shocked to find out who her blind-date set up is! CLASSIC!!
This is definitely a fun and light read. The main characters are on point as always MF does a great job. The side characters are are mixed in from the previous books so you know it’s a fun time. Reading it felt like I was part of it and you get so lost that anything else around you disappears. I really REALLY love GAVIN! He not only is swoon worthy but kind, sweet, sexy and so loving. It was so beautiful the way he is with Harper! GAH *SWOON* There is very sexy SEXY scenes, lesson, trust, adventure, beauty and even pain mixed in this story!!
