Not my first read by the author, and I have read A LOT of her books! This is a new series tha’s intertwined with a previous one a little and I WAS SO EXCITED! This definitely took me by surprise, in a good way.
This is sch a unique story line, yes it’s office romance and forbidden but just different. The outcome of the hero and heroine is almost reversed and where one doesn’t want one thing the other never though about it. It’s just, I didn’t know where this was going to go. I really fell in love with the characters from the beginning. The hero is handsome, huge heart, sexy, assertive, a boss if you will and the heroine is a woman that due to her past circumstances…she’s really really good at her job now and loves what she does….but when both her and the hero get hit with twist…she really steps up. And the hero realizes what he has been missing in his life all alone. Question is, can she want what she resents?!
