BLURB
“You got married on your divorce-cation?”
That would unfortunately be correct.
I was hanging with the girls, celebrating my divorce when I saw him, my crush, sitting in the corner of the bar all alone. Being single and looking for a wild night, I asked him if he wanted to join me. To my delight, he said yes.
Drinks were consumed, fun was had and then . . . one drunken conversation with a cranky gondolier in Las Vegas led to an Uber lift through a drive-thru wedding chapel with the incredibly hot, British bad boy, Pike Greyson.
On paper, it seemed like I hit the jackpot. And if I wasn’t fresh from a toxic marriage, I would have absolutely noticed the finer things about him.
But I wanted nothing to do with being married, so when I arrived back home from my eventful weekend in Vegas, the last thing I expected to see was a new doting husband already moved in.
I asked for an annulment, he pulled a Ross Geller and said no.
That’s right, he said NO! Instead, he asked for three months to prove we could be good together.
Insanity clearly knocked him in the head and the only way I could convince him to give up on our sham of a marriage was to show him just how wrong we were for each other. Only problem with that was, he saw right through my every prank, every trick, and every yearning emotion I attempted to mask.

Not my first read by the author but it’s been a while. Heck she was once my insta-read author until she i don’t know to me changed courses and it turned out more than 3 of my read by read of her’s happened to be a huge dislike to me, I stopped reading the author. I picked this up because I just wanted to try again I guess. And to my not surprise I ended up really disliking the heroine. The hero was great, little naive at times but still a man’s man and sexy, strong. The heroine pretty much off the bat annoyed me, along with one of her friends. I won’t say which one because it doesn’t matter but the duo and individually got me very annoyed. I think I really wanted to love this that the banter and back and forth got boring for me. It was fun at the beginning then it just went on and on, I was missing the romance for the first half of the book. It was funny sure, but I guess I was just hoping for a little more. Again, that’s why we can write reviews to give our honest opinion. Without the shade! That said fake marriages to me can go either way and this one just wasn’t my style.
The hero was supposed to be with another, then one night in Vegas when he runs into his co-worker’s sister who he knows goes out of her way to hit on him but he won’t do anything about it because her brother and him are not on best friends terms, barely friends. So when he runs into her and decides to throw caution to the wind, there are drinks involved, body parts, sexy times and a wedding. This works out for the better for the hero but not so much since she got married on her divorce-cation. You know I honestly think that if the Heroine was more likeable I would have rated this a 5 plus must read but I get not giving in standing your ground but she very much just basically over-powers the hero and that’s a huge turn off for me in books. I won’t go into more details because as you guess it, it ends how you predict it will. I feel horrible about not being able to connect with yet another book by the author and I think I am done for a little while, but in the future you never know.
