First of i want to get a couple things off my chest first. 1. don’t let Corinne fool you, this is a still very emotional book, i baked my eyes out 2. there was a slight huge dislike to me in the book, only because it just felt really awkward. i don’t like the being friends with the ex’s especially when it was not a bad parting. that’s all I’m saying. okay, now to move on to my review.
I honestly predicted a lot of it but it was still fun to watch it all unfold. Fake-Marriage tropes are a fav of mine so I was excited. The H&H actually know each other and are friends. When the heroine is in a bind, the Hero truly steps up…after he says No. What seems like a good idea and a good cause, really just complicates everything. What do you do when you start falling for your fake spouse? Run with it, and not did they. I really liked when they both let go and just be, because their chemistry is beautiful. I fell head off heels in love with both of them once they let each other in a little. They may have been doing things back-ass-wards but it was the best backwards that could have ended. You will cry in this, this hit home for me a little more & it was hard not to ball my eyes out. It’s funny, sweet, romantic and heartfelt! A true Corinne book!

Not my first read by the author and she became a favorite author really fast after just one book. That said I have been super excited about this one and boy did it live up to the hype inside my head. The best part is you will love not only the main characters but also side ones as well. It is a tragic story I will say that and I cried many time through out but boy did it have feeling and love!
The hero and heroine have a sort of history together. Having gone through the same tragic event, they don’t see each other again util many years later when the heroine in fact does return to her hometown after her mother left her the mountain top property. When the hero finds out that it wasn’t a stranger that bought the house in hopes to demolish it and starts fresh, but the owner’s daughter was a shock to him. He has bene holding so much guild from all those years ago, along with hate. That hate gets thrown towards the heroine, but she is used to it…hell she is now prepared for it all. Having gone through something life changing you don’t just get to move on like a normal person no, her family was one of those people who didn’t believe the law stood by anything and lived in their own world with their own rules. Not regretting a single moment from that incident, she vows to open up her Animal Sanctuary and build something new on the land that brought so much pain.

You truly get the back story to what had happened, why and how. There is so much amazing writing in this I don’t even know where to begin to fully review and not wanting to but also wanting to give you all the spoilers and just scream it all out. I won’t do that but I will say that this is a emotional ride. It does not have a trigger on me but I can see people having one to this due to it’s nature. The hero and heroine complement each other in the bed and worst ways. The heroine is not only strong but also sweet, kind hearted and SO STRONG. The hero is a man’s man following his father’s footsteps and is the Sheriff of the town he loves so much, carries so much on his shoulders. For all his siblings. He has 2 sisters and 1 brother. You really fall in love with all of them, his whole family. And how the treat the heroine, only the best of the heart can do that. See, I really am trying not to give out any spoilers. It is a slow burn, a sweet slow burn filled with action, mystery, suspense, romance, laughter and the best kisses! I’m sorry but these kisses I truly felt word by word!
Hero and Heroine may be from different worlds but when it spills into one it’s filled with so much beauty even the ugly sides. The kisses will have you swooning, the banter laughing out loud and the suspense to keep you on your toes. Catherine truly gives us a story to remember and want to re-visit over and over again!

If you know me even a little I won’t repeat myself with Aurora’s books & me. I know every single one of her books like the back of my hand. HUGE FAN! That said, I was so ready for this book #2 in the new series! We get BLAKE the grumpy and sexy friend.
To recap just a little this is a wilderness adventure type of series. There are friends who co-own a adventure business and in Book #1 it’s very sweet and I loved every word. This one I was prepared for because I knew BLAKE was next and he was the very grumpy hunky hero in book #1. But wait, this will break your heart and mend it in the sweetest swooniest ways!
Blake is harboring secrets which is making him to be more uptight, needing to be in control and grumpy. After all he has a lot on his plate, but he takes it day by day. It’s not easy being around people but still feel alone. In comes our heroine who I LOVED from the first moment. Single-Mom divorced beauty who moves back to her hometown, is pretty much at the low point. What’s more is that she goes to cover the front desk of her father’s firm (the receptionist happened to be a sassy grandma who has a better love life than the heroine) and that’s where she meets Blake. It was not a good meeting. The next one isn’t as good but it only gets better. I am really trying not to just tell you guys the whole story because I totally want to. This is very sweet, heartbreaking and there is the cutest little baby and a hunk involved, need I say more?!
If you want grumpy hero, single-mom, swoony and an adventure…this is for you. Also highly recommend reading Book #1 in this series RUSHED!

Not my first read by the author, she is a very top favorite author of mine and I have read almost all of her books! And there is a variety of them! That said, I was a little nervous about this one because the hero is played part of his twin-brother’s book and it was sad as well as frustrating for me. So, when this came along, I jumped on to read it right away. It was everything I expected it to be coming from a play-boy hero! Too bad he finally met his match, in our case THANK GOD he did, the heroine dishes it out equally. They both may be a lot alike than they think!
I honestly couldn’t think of a better song for this book. I could listen to it on repeat while I read this, GAH my heart! This book truly will frustrate you as much as make you fall in love. Now I have mentioned that the hero has a twin-brother who has his own book and they are sort of intertwined (you’ll see when you read it, I am not spoiling anything even the pain) he is very much the anti-hero with a big heart secretly under all that.
Hero and Heroine need to navigate not only their own guilt they are carrying heavy on their shoulders but also each other. It’s all fun and games until lines are crossed and feelings that are unfamiliar surface. I loved watching it unfold, even wanted to smack her her really hard a few times. What he lacks in relationship experiences he definitely makes up in physical. But that isn’t always enough. You also get great side characters from the previous books in series and the interconnected ones. I can’t wait to read more. This one is OFF THE CHARTS SEXY so don’t read this say at the gym like I tried!

Not my first read by the author and not my last. I’ve been a Lani fan for many years and I was so excited about this one, even if she did *smack shock us* at the end.
I think I am still in a little bit of a shock as to this book. First I will say I’d recommend reading the Cross Fit series as to the shocker will make a lot more sense. That said….WHAT, WHY LANI? *insert crying emoji* This was, left me speechless because by the time my gears were running as to WHAT and WHO series this is from part of the Cross Fit Series I WANTED TO SCREAM AND CRY at the same time. That said let me tell you a little about this book, I say little because I honestly will NOT spoil the twist and ending for anyone! I also would highly recommend reading the MADD CROSSFIT SERIES first! In my opinion this book would go much better with after reading at least the last book in that series!
This is a story of monsters and the men that turned into them. We have the hero who is well experienced in life, his kids grown, divorced and living a life of hell in a monster’s body. So why can’t he stop thinking about his best friend’s daughter. She practically grew up alongside his own, same age and all. Little did he know the feelings were mutual, but the world will try to keep them apart. The heroine is a 22 year old who has suffered from child hood, don’t get me wrong she has the best support system….her father and brother, except when she lost her brother she also might as well have lost her father. This one broke my heart because as the heroine is young and has her tendencies to act on that, she is still grown for her age. She’s always had a thing for Mr. Crow just never acted on it, when opportunity presents itself, this is where the she acts her age a little comes in. But danger is just around the corner and not just the H & H learn a lesson in this book.
I. CAN’T. WAIT. FOR. MORE. I knew this series was going to blow me away and be good but I did NOT expect this. A little note to the author: you just had you, didn’t you…had to go and break out hearts?

Not my first read by the author but she is very new to me, this is only the 2nd book I’ve read by her and boy did I fall in love with this one as much as I did with Book #1! There is something said about the hero and heroine having their own issues that are still lingering when they get together and the chemistry explodes. Also the title makes sense pretty fast and then you realize why and you get excited that it does make sense but also sad for the hero in the same time. This isn’t a typical relationship between hero and heroine. The hero alone has his own share of frailly drama and bullshit along with a personal defect he is dealing with. It honestly isn’t but that is how he sees himself. The heroine isn’t usual as well, she has her own share of drama and daemons except hers is displayed for the world every day. You wouldn’t think that these two would be a pair but broken people heal other broken people. Their chemistry is off the charts, there is humor in this and it will make you chuckle and kind of have angst for the heroine to finally figure it out. ALSO he calls her Bee so there is that! If you could ever FEEL the words this will be that book!
BUT secrets are not meant to be kept. And these secrets are not as expected and even more painful when you get to it all. It’s heartbreaking and bittersweet, I cried multiple times in this and my heart was affected in all aspects! GAH! This book truly moved me, from the characters, the story, the good and bad…truly a addicting book to dive into! P.S. start with Book #1 you will equally love it!

Marshall is the youngest Riggins Brother but the very smart one. He is thriving in the business, has a big heart and is sexy. What more can a man ask for? Well how about a Mom at the pharmacy store not having enough money to pay for her daughters meds. That melted my heart the way he helped her even if she tried to refuse is many times, not only that but he left her a little something and when the heroine Wren shows up at his office a few days later, it’s not for the reason one would think. I really loved Marsh’s heart so much! The heroine comes from a lonely background, after losing her husband who left her the best gift ever, the most adorable little girl *heart eyes* she isn’t really excited to be on any man’s radar. But Marshall doesn’t give up and when a Riggins brother wants something, he works hard for it. Boy did he ever! But when you see Marshall and the little cute babygirl, you will melt! Super sweet story, as always I loved this series and I am sad that this is the end but this series is a re-read through and through!

okay update, Lani did try and kill us via emotions on this one. I cried my eyes out so hard, I couldn’t stop. Absolutely LOVED this, it was raw, real and sweet. Emotional to the core, have tissue because no matter who you are, you will be balling your eyes out like I did. I would totally torture myself and re-read this again just for it.
I really don’t want to ruin or spoil this so I will give a shorter review, because this is so worth diving into from beginning to end. These two are enemy-to all through but deep down the love they have for one another, is unreachable. When push comes to shove, they are always there for one another. And the life adventure they go through alone and together were painful. I loved them, even if my heart felt like it was going to burst. Can’t wait for more!

Not my first read by the author and def never my last. Natasha is a INSTA-READ author for me and I have also read all of the other 7 books in the series. I must say this one broke my heart as well as made me happy. I was excited for Reed’s story because he was the youngest brother who went off to fight for his country. It is a quicker read.
Reed is a man who left town as soon as he turned 18, never to look back. Hazel is the woman who not only fled the same town but for more reasons than not. The heroine contained a lot more secrets than you would think, but this small town never let’s you keep them for too long. When Reed runs into Hazel again, he is all smiles but Hazel is boring daggers at him. He is confused but soon finds out the reason, when he tries to go over to mend things with Hazel thing’s don’t turn out as he hoped. When secrets get revealed, that’s when you’ll need the tissues handy!
It was so beautiful, sweet and swoony. Reed truly made my heart skip a beat and Hazel was the sweet feisty one, perfect combo. I really loved this HEA and most of all Olivia the little girl that stole MY heart!

Not my first read by the author but may be my last. Uuuuh, I am so disappointed and mad I had to write this review first before I did anything else. This is all in a personal preference in books and story styles, but this one absolutely contained everything I disliked. This also was really hard for me to write because I always do HONEST REVIEWS and this hurts equally for me too especially when it’s a favorite author, but I am true to my heart and feelings and reviews so honesty is what you will always find in them, no matter how hard they are to write or say.
Now I will not be able to explain the WHY because it would fully spoil the whole book so it makes it even more harder to write this. I will say that I gave this a 3 instead of 2 star because of Sig the Hero’s cousin (actually wish he has a book instead, even if the ending may be not something anyone would want, I would have enjoyed it more I think.) My issue with this book is that in contained a number one pet peeve of mine as well as dislike. It’s one thing to have a book relate to real life but another when it’s more like a real life, things I IN REAL LIFE stay away from and dislike very much. Hence my personal preference dislikes. Let me say dislike one more time, I am so angry because I love this author I do but lately I think I just need to pull myself back. I have been giving it chances I really have but I guess it’s only fair to the author and myself that I move on because it doesn’t seem like it will change. So basically my whole Sunday is now ruined after all this because I am mad and sad at the same time. Needless to say, I might come back after the book releases and list my dislikes and the reasons so someone who reads my review understands that for some it may be something they enjoy but for someone who doesn’t like this sort of deal, all it does is make me hate read and end up hating in this care THE HERO. I will say that Sig, oh my little heart, I love him and well what he did…forever a hero! I will wait a few days after release to come back and actually post the WHY below!
UPDATED 09/01 Here is my issue with this book: the hero and heroine actually meet and hit it off, I fell in love with them together. It has a shocking end and then fast forward 5 years. The hero ends up marrying someone else, and it’s a true marriage, fast one but still true. The heroine isn’t my issue in all this until the end, but to me she just kind of went with the flow whatever the hero decided to do in the life changes. My biggest issue is the fact that when they see each other again, he jumps to her but yet is actually still fully married to someone else. Even if his wife knows the history of the heroine and how he was still in love with her when they married. The fact that they were married and moved on in a sense, drove me FUCKING NUTS when he just jumped after the heroine. To me that’s a real life drama BS i would avoid and hate to hear about and DISLIKES in all senses. I don’t care if you are in love with someone else you dedicated your life and marriage to one person and to me that’s cheating even if the hero doesn’t jump to the heroine when he sees her again and they have sex. To me this was the worse kind of cheating. The fact that the hero after “some time” gets a divorce with his wife, it’s only because he wants to let her go to find the love that she deserves. To me that’s a coward was to leave someone just because you want to be with another person. I wanted to burn the hero, and was disgusted with him in every way. Everything after that, the heroine being like a doormat to me, playing along with whatever…it just went down hill and i ended up skip reading the end of it knowing how much I was going to hate it. So that is why the star rating which honestly if I could go without giving it any stars like not having to rate it star wise and just write a review, would be better.
And Penelope if you ever see this or read it, know that I truly have been a huge fan of yours from your first book, but am very sad to have to part with your books, and I know you can’t write books that everyone loves and this is something coming from you so I’m not mad about that, I guess I am just disappointed in the situation that I have to part…but the good news at least, I can always still re read your books again that are safe for me 🙁

Not my first read by the author, she is one of my very top favorite and insta-read authors. Not only have I read almost every single one of her books but I also own more than 40 in paperbacks alone. Aaaaalso, this series is one of my favorites from her! I am and forever will be a WHISKEY FAN!
This one is a enemy-to because even though the heroine and hero have know each other for a while, the heroine comes from a hurtful past. Diesel has been protecting Tracey for a couple years now, keeping his distance but also keeping anyone from getting near her. What I love about these two is that the tension was so intense I was on the toes waiting for the blow up, and when it finally happened it was so raw, passionate and in need! Okay I will only say this because it’s a dislike of mine (personal preference) but the heroine does go on a date with another man even if he was a good guy and I actually can’t wait to read his book also but I had to skip that portion, I tend to read with all my feelings and knew if I fully read the date part because it wasn’t a bad date per-say there is a kiss involved, but the heroine did not feel anything for the date. They def were not meant to be but just because it’s in here in detail, I had to stop, skip that part and continue. That said, it’s that date that actually pushes the heroine over the edge and the beautiful explosion happened!
I have to say that Diesel is beyond SWOONY in a dark and grumpy way, but once you find out the hurt behind his grumpiness, you will cry rivers. It’s beautiful to see the heroine stand up for him, and want to be part of his life, be honest with him, connect. Everything about these two was beautiful even when painful!
If you want enemy-to with a lot of sexual tension build up that will have you explode, a grumpy, big, handsome and swoony hero, a strong heroine that has been hurt in the worst way possible and a love that you see coming from a mile THIS IS YOUR READ! I would highly recommend this whole series, the Whiskey Series is something you will want to re-read in the years to come. p.s. the title makes so much sense I can’t! The shock surprise in this will have you in tears and wishing you could go back! Heartbreaking but so damn beautiful!

NOT my first read by the author and I have read all of Amy’s books and am a HUGE HUGE fan! She is one of my perfect safe author’s that I would read anything from! Her writing is unique and captures the beauty from the pages!
Let’s get started with this beauty, first off I want to say that I couldn’t have more excited to get a new series from Amy but one of my favorite combo’s too! Trent & Eden were addictive…from page one! There was something so beautiful in all the broken that I couldn’t stop reading.
Story: Eden is a woman just trying to help her father keep his dream in hence hers as well. After her sister’s betrayal she will do anything to keep her life going, even if it means throwing herself into the lions den. That being Trent’s nightclub, the minute he walks in and spots her, he KNOWS she not only doesn’t belong there but looks like a dream. A bright dream he doesn’t deserve. After a little banter and the heroine showing her backbone, the hero is surprised but also intrigued. After all, she is something he wouldn’t even dream of trying to have. The heroine starts working at Trent’s club for the extra money, little did they both know fate had a big hand in this in all the ways. They may look different and have grown up differently, one light one dark…their souls were meant to be.
This story includes angst, passion, love, danger, hurt, laughter and HEART! I was ready so fast I needed to slow myself down. I loved everything about each character but especially Trent the SINGLE-DAD who would give anything to protect the ones he loves. His adorable little son, his brothers and the deep passionate love he has for Eden. It’s so beautiful, painful, sweet, romantic, sexy, dangerous…everything you need! I can not wait for more! I have a feeling this whole series will become my TOP 2021 MUST READs easily!

Not my first read by the ladies and I have been looking forward to this very much. To my fellow readers who have similar dislikes, this is a TOTALLY SAFE read. Very HEA and I enjoyed every page.
Hero and Heroine get a chance meet, and when they do it’s instant sparks. The heroine comes from a past where she never had a real mother figure but thankfully her Aunt and Uncle were there for her. She now works at the local pub, really just living day by day. After an incident in town left her always having to look over her shoulder, or hide in shame…she really never knew what she wanted. The Hero is a younger Army enlisted handsome, sweet and sexy man, who decides to go home with his best friend for a week on their 2 week home stay. He never thought that the heroine was a she yet alone the most beautiful woman he’s ever met. A little older than him but only by a couple years, he realized that the beauty is his buddy’s cousin. The instant he saw her, he couldn’t not pursue her. Wasn’t fair because he was only there for a week but he did it anyways. Their love came strong and their desire for life together even stronger. But the hero did have to go back and the heroine would be left behind. Heartbreak comes but this one was really heart breaking and I cried so so much. But their love for one another can conquer it all.
I wasn’t sure what to expect but this sweet HEA was a happy surprise. I hope we get more, like the Hero’s Best Friend and the Hero’s Sister!

DASH is the most dreamy, sexy, sweet, smart, handsome and fun Bookboyfriend I have read in a while! I fell in love him from page one. He is just outgoing, fun so so so ROMANTIC AND SWOON WORTHY I can’t express it enough. When he set his sights on a little cute bookworm, he couldn’t stop himself. After all she made him feel something he has never, and he has been living his life out there and in the crowd if you will. Amber is the sweet everyone knows about her girl in town that battles with seizures and is happy with her little slow life with her adorable service dog by her side. She gets to do what she loves, run her book store and well she is content with it all. Until Dash walks into her little work and offers her something bigger. The question is can she let go of that fear or fears in her case and give this big life a go?
I freaking loved these two together. It warmed my heart to watch them with each other and I cried, laughed, swooned and happy teared to the end. This book will warm your heart, and if you want a good hearted hero and a sweet small town girl romance, this is for you!

Not my first read by the author, I have read enough of her books throughout the years to love her work. When I saw something new in the works I knew I had to dive in. So glad I did!
This was the perfect mixture of romance, writing, realness and action. You get the world of Crossfit and how it fits into people’s lives, someone who truly loves it and in this case lives off of it. There will be beautiful romance, sweet seduction and all the suspense! The hero Taos is a retired Cop turned Crossfit Part Owner (with his best friend) so Taos get’s roped in to teach a 6 week course, I say roped in it’s because the hero is more a silent partner, but he agrees to do it. The heroine, okay I LOVED HER, she was smart, beautiful, sassy, strong, vulnerable in the best places and someone who went through what she did, I was proud of her in every step she did. The coming together of these two was well awaited and so anticipated!
I loved all the characters, side characters (especially the heroine’s sister who thank gosh is next in line) and of course the action! This was full of suspense and action I should say. The hero retakes cases because of what it occurring in town, and well the heroine has a secret but it’s only a secret because the hero doesn’t remember. After all it’s been years since the incident. You throw in a very annoying ex-wife and you got yourself a book that I was hanging on to page by page!
