Not my first read by the author but it is my first official review. I have been looking at this one for a while now and glad I got the chance to read and review it. This has a little bit of a dark feel to it, mystery, suspense, friends to and enemy to lovers, sizzling and dangerous. I enjoyed every scene in this, including the back glimpses.
River and Jaxson are a couple that will always be for one another, even if River sacrifices something that she debated for a while but in the end didn’t have a choice. Jaxson was out for revenge, when he learns the truth…both of them will have to find a way back to one another…if it’s not too late.

Not my first read by this author, she is one of my absolute favorites! I also have read Book 1 & 2 in this series, LOVED both of them!! Been excited about this one!! You know when you read Teagan that you will get to be like part of the story, she transforms you in it…and laughter…lot’s of laughter…oh and cursing hahaha! In this case you also get an amazing little girl who will win your heart over in just a page. Well, to be fair she won my heart over in Book #2!
Porter, the hero is funny, handsome, arrogant, broody, so sexy and a great man. You get a little glimpse of him in the previous book and that is why I was so excited for his story. He is a man that never had anyone stick…therefore when he uprooted his whole life to be closer to his friends he isn’t expecting to find a woman who gave him a night of his life and also an employee…..again!
Doris aka Dory (yes like the fish) is a young woman fighting in the big world. She has been having some bad luck until one night at her favorite pizza place she runs into a stranger, well not run more like she stared really hard at him until he called her out on it. One night. No feelings. No kissing under any circumstance. Just sex. And well a job, but not because of the sex I promise *smirk*
This is a story of two people who both don’t trust themselves but have a pull to one another that they consciously don’t ignore but still in the back of the mind, they know that this can only lead to heartbreak. I don’t want to give out to much, honestly it was such a fun read. I loved all of them and especially them three together. The daughter is probably one of my favorites in this series along with Porter, something about his grumpy-handsome-ness…and all! Just in love with all this, if you want lighthearted read with a lot of laughter, banter and romance (and also the sexy time, good gosh there is no disappointment here on that *sizzling*)

Right off the bet you get ENEMY-TO, we have our heroine who is a woman that gave it all up to follow, and a hero who made a promise he intends to keep. These two meet by coincidence and soon learn that they may have a lot more in common then they thought. Their banter is straight on, there is a lot of anger from the heroine and a lot of heart and soul from the hero. Opposites clash in a story that will have you fighting along with them then it will hit you with a shock that you won’t ever see coming. And I mean it’s a TWIST of all twists. Aside from the beginning where it took me a little to warm up to the heroine (she a was little overly-arrogant and little prickly) The hero, ladies THE HERO hold on to your hearts because he will have it from page 1!! All in all, this story is a hard one, definitely for the lost as the dedication stated, and in the end I WAS IN LOVE with this!!

Randi our heroine keeps her head held high, after all she came this far, but she is not out of the woods yet, the worst has only become, from glares to talks behind back and much more. This book will test our heroine in the best ways possible…all while having to fight her own will and heart for Trey. It’s heart breaking and empowering this whole book, but I was reading fast trying to get to…well I don’t know not an end but somewhere to know what’s going to happen, when and who…the tight leash Randi is being held in all this…is EXPLOSIVE…there is only a woman can take so much! It’s a slow burn of all slow burns…painfully you will feel each with her. But this girl, this woman who has faught her whole life has some fight still left in her…Kyle she is coming for you.
This is a thriller I tell you, political romance never usually kept me interested until this series. The plot, the words, the characters, danger, suspense and romance…it’s a perfect combo. (BETA READING THIS) This is a story of a man who is lost after one of the worst things that can happen to a man. Starts of ‘real’ then hits you right away. Takes you far away into a beautiful place with two people who have the most amazing time in their life, just when everything seems to be falling apart, they found each other to keep whole.
I can’t say too much because ti will give out the whole book but I will say that there is a lot that’s going to happen and these same two people who once found each other, have to try and either find each other again or LIVE WITH letting one another go for the sake of a loved one. This has a lot of parts to it, it starts off with one way then turns into something sexy and beautiful…then it jumps a little ahead and then it’s a ride you won’t want to get off of! This book contains a lot of HEART!!

Not my first read by the author and I have read book #1 in this series as well! I want to explain myself before I start because, I love Lani’s book and book one in this series was actually really good (for me) this one unfortunately I wasn’t able to click with except just the fact of reading it. It’s not bad per-say but I think you have to have read her before to understand this type of writing. The hero is much older than the 19-year old heroine that’s still in high school.
Everything that could go wrong, went wrong for our heroine here. She lost her parents at a very young age and everything seemed to head downhill from there. When she runs into our hero, it’s her directing him to take his shirt off and pose by his cruiser. When she makes a bold move, the hero only laughs in her face and leaves. Forward a little bit of time, she runs into some trouble to which the hero is done and tired of running from…so GAME ON!
I have been debating on this one between 4 or 4.5 stars. I love Lani’s books and words and I always have a blast reading, but this one just didn’t do it FOR ME. I really couldn’t connect, that’s the only reason for my rating.

Not my first read by the author and this is stand-alone. I’ve read enough books by this author that I knew I’d enjoy it. This is a friends-to-lovers and an interesting one at that.
Hunter is a wealthy and successful man, a man that started from the bottom, a man that well hasn’t been paying attention to his work-visa. He has lived in the states since he was a baby but push forward many years and well, should have paid more attention because now he is in a pickle. Josie is a successful lawyer who has always worked hard in her life. She is a woman that knows what she wants and speaks her mind, she is also the best friend of Hunter. These two, I have to say even at the beginning after the “arrangement” was accepted, lines were starting to blur, but neither one of them know of each other’s feelings. So naturally they both ignore it and move on as this was just another time together. It’s really sweet to watch them titter-totter around one another. Sadly one doesn’t believe in actual marriage while the other hopes to have it all, husband, house and 2.5 kids.
The only thing that bothered me was the climax. I wont lie but through out the whole build up, i had no indication something was coming until when it did, it just didn’t seem right for the action. i don’t want to give it away but it kind of brought me back a step, and i wasn’t a huge fan of the ending, that’s all I can say truthfully. Threw me off just a little.

Not my first read by the author and i have read the previous books in this series. loved every single one. that said, unfortunately this was not my cup of tea. Don’t get me wrong the story and words were fantastic because this authors knows how to write but the events, let me explain. I wont go into too much detail because i don’t want anyone to think I’m bashing anything, just simply not my taste in hero and heroine.
The hero is actually the oldest of the brothers. he is a man that had it all and lost everything including himself in one night. forwards years later he is now so low on himself that he doesn’t think he deserves anything. the heroine is actually the hero’s best friends little sister, therefore they have know each other since they were 10. she is someone who knows sacrifice and hard work, and always kept going even when times felt hard. when lines get crossed as this is a brothers best friend and friends to lovers romance, thing heat up…you know what they say. if you cant stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. now the reason i was not fond of the characters is because, although they are older in age their actions just didn’t vibe with me. the hero deflects his past and pain with humor and therefore this is a rom-com all on its own and its funny but its just a lot in some sections of the book. the heroine is touch and go 50/50 one minute i am on my toes but then she does something like forgive easy and lets him off the hook. one particular part that turned me off, was the indecisiveness, it was over baring for me. on both ends. i cant say much without giving out the book but that played a huge part to me. all that said, these are my opinions and feelings. when i read i really read with the whole me and what kind of reader would i be if i didn’t voice the truth on those feelings while reading. i hope no one takes it the wrong way because i truly truly love this series, just this was a miss for me.

Not my first read by both authors and I have read the previous book in this series. Now, i was prepared for anything because book 1 was a doozer and i cried my little eyes out. This one took a different turn but equally heartfelt and exciting.
We have the hero Chase who has been friends and around the heroine Gabby for years. They actually work together and have a love/hate relationship at best. You bet your ass this is a enemy-to-lovers and a great one at that. Even though there were times i wanted to smack the heroine because booooooy was she stubborn, over the top stubborn. Just when things seemed to be headed in one direction, one night after a revelation…everything changes. And from then on, nothing is as it seems.
The surprises, the mystery, will all keep you on your toes. I cant say too much to give a lot out because this is very complex in the best way. I will say that, have tissue ready! You really cant go wrong with this series, i enjoyed the words and scenes, so pretty much all of it. You get both Pov’s and as things start off normal, they sure escalate fast. but don’t worry, you’ll like this escalation.
Really heart-felt on this one, pull at the strings and all!

Ireland Saint James is a woman who grew up without family, the one she had was everything to her. She also has worked for everything in her life, including this job she just got canned from all due to some innocent fun. Going over the email she wrote the night of a drunken fest, she cringes when she re-reads it. After some courage she decides that another email is a must follow, because well, she isn’t someone to give up that easy. A fighter. SENT. That should do it, at least if anything, she can’t say she didn’t try.
As I am always honest in my review’s I won’t lie and say that I was actually already expecting what will happen because I have read every single book by Vi and kind of felt familiar, as in her words and writing style. But boy was I jolted to reality when this took a turn for the best. What I enjoyed most is the way the hero and heroine were together, not your average boy and girl just felt…that’s it I FELT THEM if that makes sense. Their chemistry was insane and I will say this that this does not disappoint in the SEXY SCENES department, or DIRTY TALK!!! They go really well together and I know I will forever remember this book. Watch out for the few twists, have tissue ready because you’ll most definitely need it. Another AMAZING Standalone by Vi!!

This one was a SWEET and FEISTY one because the hero is the ever so sexy Cohen EMT & his new partner the heroine the sister of two of the firefighters, Skye Rossi. She is feisty, outgoing, smart, sexy and down to earth, not to mention beyond gorgeous! Both of them are here to do one thing….a job, a very important job. But when you put two people together in a small proximity for a period of time, what can go wrong? Well, an agreement that a normal person may not have thought of but these two strictly have it handled, of course. “of course”
As light-hearted this was and fun, it was still in depth and you get to see sides of two souls that hurt for different reasons but find solace in one another, even for a short time being. NEW TO ME author & books. This wonderful soul has been supporting me for a very long time and I am finally able to get down to business and read one of her books! From the blurb and author note I knew I had to read this. This is a little but of a twist with the main characters, meaning that they are almost reversed in the feeling department, also has to do with the plot of the story.
We have the heroine Ivy Sunday who when she was younger not only broke this boy’s heart but hers along with it But what can you do, they were both so young and feelings were running high…except Ivy ran with hers, literally. After years of being gone from town she is forced to come back and help her family member out renovating and up keeping a place. When she runs into THAT BOY who now is a very much man, a big strong, fireman to be exact. Aspen Kennedy! He is a man who after having his true and only love run away shifted gears in life, and in the end ended up being the local new fireman chief. Along with Aspen still being in love with Ivy, she has to figure out what she wants. They circle around and I gotta say that the sexy scenes were WOW hot, graphic and verbal!
I will be looking forward to Book #2 in this because well, I really enjoyed the writing and story. The characters, they were equally great and that said, definitely will be reading more.

Not my first read by the author. I have to say that this one was a on a whim for me meaning, I signed up because I love Meghan’s books and did not even read the blurb. I decided to then just go ahead and read it and mid-way i went back to read the blurb and I will say that even though I love her books, I am not 100% sure I would have signed up after reading the blurb not because it’s bad, heck no this is fantastic but because it didn’t seem like something I’d like reading. Most times the blurb and author determine my choice of requesting an ARC. That said, I was pleasantly surprised that I liked this very much. It was a light hearted, fun, sexy and sweet story!
Rath and Charlee were AMAZING CHARACTERS! Charlee at times was over the top but Rath kind of balances her out. This is an adventure for sure where marriage of convenience is played along with some sizzling and sweet scenes. Like I said earlier a lighter read for my taste, but still pretty decent.

Not my first read by both author’s and I have to say when I saw that they did a collaboration, I was jumping of joy. You definitely get both the author’s in this book! It has an amazing rock star feel but with the UNTIL sweetness and alpha! Perfect combo!
You have Alyson Dawson our heroine who is a woman with a past, a woman determined to live life on without a man, after all the last one left a sour taste in her mouth. She works for a music company and has an amazing best friend we all would want. When she ends up at the same place the BLUEBIRD it was for other intentions but fate has other plans. Fate threw in Gavin the gorgeous, talented and smooth artists. When her best friend tried to set her up with a NHL player, Aly knew right away that that would never happen. But she didn’t want to seem too eager…so naturally she waited a 10 mins before calling Gavin after he gave her his card. I mean what’s a girl to do, they were staring at each other form across the room for a good 10 minutes. Honestly you could feel the words in this scene!
When these two get together it’s explosive, in a short amount of pages you can feel every single one of them but also fall instantly in love with both main characters. So to say this is packed isn’t enough. I love the feel of the whole book and really wish there was more, but you do get an extended Epilogue that will keep you satisfied but still wanting more of course! p.s. Hero is a country star singer and KEITH URBAN – Somebody Like You will never be the same!

Not my first read by Rachel Van Dyken but my first read by Kathy Ireland. The contemporary romance part I know where it came form author wise because I am so familiar with RVD’s writing but unfortunately the other part which is Woman Fiction and Mystery without the full on romance, wasn’t for me. There was a lot of main characters involved which for this type of book, yes is perfect but for my taste of mixing all of these different types of tropes. The book is based upon a mystery of a death. I think what threw me off a lot for my style is that there were 4 POV narratives, therefore I hard a hard time connecting. I did connect to Brittany the most and I think the scenes in this book were fantastic, writing style. Lot’s of revenge, fashion and beautiful story of wonderful woman. #womanempower but I will say that if I was into the other trope types, this would have been a 5 plus for me!
