This was a fun read! I say fun because it’s hockey for one my favorite sports romance and two because it involved the heroine in power so to say. The hero and heroine do have a past/history and after 6 years of being broken up and not really in each other’s anything, they both get a very sweet shock to find out that the heroine Jazz is now the owner of the same hockey team that her old boyfriend Lincoln. The fun part in all this is watching the skirt around each other, knowing very well that Jazz still has strong feelings and always had for the hockey hunk. But now everything is forbidden of course, after all she co-owns the team with her brothers, not to mention she has always dreamed of this, so after their father passed and left the term to them, she was excited well, maybe not fully after realizing that Lincoln old be there but excited to start new for her. Lincoln is a man who is not only under appreciated, under played but is sick of it and wants to change it, or leave. But with Jazz as the new owner he knows that messing anything with her again will not only break her and his heart but also his career., so he keeps his distance and tries his best to just have a professional relationship even if deep down that’s the last thing he wants to do. It was fun and heartbreaking to watch these two come together and I LOVED loved the heroine so much in this, the hero too but she took the cake for me.

Not my first read by the author, and I think by now everyone might know that she is one of my top 5 favorite author’s and my 2nd romance read ever back in the day many moons ago. That said I have read ALL of her books but sadly only half of the Rock-Chic (and I have not read her paranormal, not my style) that said there is a slight reason why this didn’t make it on to my TOP 2021 MUST READ list like his brother’s previous Novella. Also heads up this is a rather LONG novella which is awesome already!

This book is about the second Black brother, the younger one, the one that really doesn’t fully remember his late father, the one that really just can’t understand when he grew up that there was a life movie about HIS life about his father’s life and legacy. Jag and his brother comes from a man who was respected and loved, took his mother over 20 years to really cope with it. The heroine in this is someone he knew, well he met her while he was visiting his father’s grave and she was there burring her mother with her family. Both so young but one look and the rest if written in history, actually it was all fate as I see it because they met so young and the grief similar but different. They spend well over 10 years having a hit and miss, seeing each other at times but not really being with each other, until too many years pass and the next time Jag see’s his A was while she was chasing a kid.

The adventure really begins from there, I kind of don’t want to give you much in the book on purpose if you read my review because I truly believe that both of these are so worth diving in. I will say that reading the Chaos series whole would help a lot too. So my hang up is with Archie the heroine, it’s a 50/50 hang up because she resembles ROCK-CHICK heroine style and earlier I had said that I did not manage to get through that because I just, the heroine feel and style was not my thing, but I sure did try. That said Archie is 70& rock chick and the rest the heroine I was hoping for Jag. But here is the problem, I really couldn’t not like her because her heart was all about Jag and that melted my heart, she wanted to be there for him, to fix him, to help him heal and gosh did she give him all the love possible. It’s really heartbreaking for both of them, years later, same grief but so different. Together by fate for sure but that was the easy part, what’s after and how to ‘keep’ it is all up to them two, and this books really shows the love, passion, commitment and how deep A LOVE can go.

Not my first read by the author, I’ve read enough where I have enjoyed most the books and am familiar with her writing style. I will say that this is a ARC I actually did not sign up for, based on the blurb to me z just did not sound like something that would be up my reading style. But the author was very kind and provided a ARC already so I am thankful for that. 

With so that said, I definitely was right about skipping this one and all for person reasons. I’m a egotism reader, I invest myself in the characters, and in this one I just could NOT get over the heroines ex-husband relationship…I tried I really did and I get being good friends so with your ex-husband but in here it rubbed me wrong in all the ways…just personally weird to me and I did not like the vibe. Which kind of sucks because if it wasn’t for that, I’d have ended up loving this even up to a Top 2021 read. Aside from that while deal with me, I really loved the hero and heroine together, their kids were too funny and all the side charcuterie. I mean a handsome sexy fireman and a gorgeous success chef, what a great combo. They are honest with one another, love LOVED their energy and connection they had, not just the romantic sexy but just two people who really are for one other!

Not my first read by the ladies, and I do love these two together, I don’t even read any blurbs when they have sign up’s I just simply sign up. IBSTA-CLICK ladies!

This is a novella, so pretty quick read and a sweet second-chance one at that. The heroine broke her own heart along with the hero’s when she left to pursue her life dream. A dream she now is not sure was ever worth it, even though she did get to live it out, being back in her small town of Hope, Idaho (I live in ID so it’s always fun to read about my little state) makes her realize a few things. One of them being her first love, her first everything, Sebastian. He comes with a cute little bundle of joy, the sweetest little girl. But, when a opportunity is presented, will she stay and more importantly will Sebastian let her leave?

Very sweet read, lots of punch for a short 8 chapter novella!

Not my first read by the author and I have read all the previous books in this series! This one I was excited for because I wasn’t sure how it would go. It pretty much almost broke my heart for real but then it put it all back together but I am not sure I am the same after this book. Wow the emotion and angst!

I will say at first that the heroine drove me mad a little, this is more towards the middle-ish end! I am not sure where to start on this. The heroine and hero know one another form high school, and when a tragedy for one and a awakening for another happens…it all goes up in flames. (You’ll see what I mean when you read it) This is not a second chance although it does feel like it to me, the hero and heroine did not previously date but did know one another. The heroine comes from a poor family with lot’s of siblings where the hero comes from a rich family that only cares about the money. Yes I know what you’re thinking but it’s not I promise you, this will take you by surprise. Watch out for the beginning, I cried my eyes out!

Lot’s of angst, actions, suspense, mystery and surprises. I do enjoy the chase and this one was a sweet one, SUPER SLOW BURN just a heads up but totally worth it once you get there. There is something about building that sexual suspense. Really enjoyed this story, one sitting stayed up until 1am to finish type of read. This whole series is.

NEW to me author and books. I was approached by the author to read this sweet Novella!

This was a interesting read, I was not expecting what I ended up with. In a good way that is. Set in a quarantine feel, the heroine is feeling lost, and turns to her phone. You can understand that when I say that what I mean. But what she didn’t expect is for her past to be present. Was it fate that payed the part or a insanity moment for the heroine that can’t believe a second chance is right there, but will it be possible?

I really enjoyed this book, it had lot’s of laughter, fun, sweetness and romance. I even teared up at times. Glad I gave this a go and I appreciate that the author provided me with a ARC!

NEW to me author, even though I have been meaning to read some books by this author I finally got a chance even if it’s part of another world. She did such a great job bringing the BOOM to us!

This was very sweet, intense, alpha, romantic and sexy! Everything you need in a BOOM! The heroine Rose is a runaway, no not a run away bride but a runaway from her toxic family. The hero is *gah loved him* is not a run away but also comes from another state in his case he is coming BACK! When they meet it’s intense and sweet. Knight really jumps right into protecting Rose and their adventure begins right away. Knight is smitten by Rose and Rose has these intense feelings she has never felt before, having been controled by her family she never got to experience a intense attraction. Their love may be fast but the sweetest!

This has SUSPENSE in it which is my favorite and perfect fit for this world. I don’t want to give out too much as usual so I will be brief but this definitely is part of the world, very intense and sweet, perfect addition!

So, this author is not NEW per say to me because I’ve read her before all my bookstagramming and blogging so but It’s been a very long time since I’ve read just a book by her alone. I really enjoyed myself in this one, I forgot how well of a writer this author is, and so good with the words!

This was a full around book, the hero and heroine have their own while the side characters also were equally appealing not to mention played match makers. It’s a very slow burn but not enough where I would be mad waiting for it, worth waiting for because there is also food involved and it’s very SEXY! I loved watching them fall in love, be with one another, it was just all so dang sweet!

NOT my first read by the author, very familiar with her. I have also read all the previous books in this series. This one was a 50/50 for me because it involved characters I did not really enjoy, little too strong, little too careless and indecisive style which happen to be part of my personal triggers. That said does not mean it isn’t something you might enjoy.

I want to first express that middle to end end I WAS IN LOVE, something about the fun and crazy characters getting THOSE FFELINGS OUT I swooned from then on, enjoyed them a lot more…This is definitely a frenemies both very loud, out there, forwards and just comes form big Italian families so you know LOUD. hehe I don’t really know what else to say except that it was rather hard for me to get over a few things but I did because I really liked this series form the first book so I wanted to see it through, but I don’t think this one was for me fully.

NEW to me author and books, but I will say that I will most definitely read more by the author.

I have to say that even thought this author is NEW to me, it felt like they fit very well in the Aurora Book World. I loved the characters and the FEEL of it all, really was true to the world and I for one am so happy about that. I have been waiting for Blaze and this did not disappoint! This is part of the Until July and Until Harmony mainly because Blaze the hero is part of the MC Club that Wes and Harlen are in. He loves being part of the family, has a good life, owns two business, is going by until Milagros ‘Millie’ kind of steals the sunshine. He sees her through his shop window, and when he doesn’t see her the next few days he starts to think he imagined it all. But Millie was as real as ever. She is the sweetest, I really have been waiting for their story so so so much. We have this giant of a ALPHA but so sweet man and a woman that has sheltered her heart and self all her life, stone cold, average…until she lost someone very close to her who made her make a promise. So here is Millie moved form CA to TN to basically live out the promise, even though she wasn’t sure she would end up in this little town (Mayson World) she loved it. Millie comes from a Hispanic culture so to her bikers, hard men and not much is really new. Leaving her sister and family she had left behind was hard but she was determined.

After just one night, things go south for the day after and I gotta tell you that when I wanted to smack the hero I WANTED to smack the hero but in a playful way. It’s all very sweet, very BOOM, very alpha and there wouldn’t be a BOOM without some suspense and adventure. Lot’s of romance and heartfelt moments, swooning and sexy times. So happy this one lived up to my expectations, will be re reading it I know and of course getting a paperback along with checking out other books by the author.

NOT my first read by the author, big fan and I have read almost every book by her. Including Book 1 in this series which was my first 2021 read and my first TOP 2021 list item. So I knew this was going to be amazing as well, and it did not disappoint!

Beckham and Troup, where do I start. Well for starters these two have known one another, so they have history. Both have had a hard life from the beginning and living through well hardship is all I am going to say. But together, from the moment they became a one *SWOON & LOVE* these two are the perfect couple, you can’t not love them together! This kind of THERE IS A LOT TO IT. They both wanted to be together, when they did fast forward 8 years and even then they kept in touch, knowing that they truly belonged together and that they did. In the end or the beginning they get married, even work together in a way but then things fall apart so hard *sad tears* Troup ends up in prison and Beckham ends up alone and in a situation (I’m not telling you) and well she is determined to be there for him and with him…even if Troup serves her divorce papers while he is incarcerated. Everything from that point is like a new beginning, I would suggest reading book 1 but honestly this was so amazing by it self on it’s own too. I don’t want to say more because you really NEEEEEEEED to dive into this. I am so flipping excited for more and happy Lani decided to give us her version of a MC Romance *nailed it*

NEW to me author and books. I was approached by the author at the perfect time I must say and after reading the blurb and asking the author about my trigger, I was very intrigued to read this. Thank you Kyra for my ARC.

I want to start off with the hero Michael Edwards because he most definitely had me LOVING him and SWOONING over him *sigh* I instantly fell in love with the characters and story. Lauren and Michael are two souls of the same kind, jaded and sworn off the opposite sex because of their past. But that also happens to be the one thing that kind of brings them together or rather keeps them together in the beginning. The whole time it seemed to go really well, I don’t want to give out too much but it felt like OKAY this is it, this is…they are meant to be….I was on the edge of my seat. The story kept me captive and their actions, side characters and adventures is what I fell in love with. I am so glad that I gave this a shot because I now want to read more by the author.

NEW to me author and books. I do believe I may have read one of the author’s books many moons ago but do not remember it so I am treating this as a new to me author and after reading the blurb I really wanted to read it and was happy to find out I was selected to receive a ARC.

Okay I will say it first this type of story line and trope happens to be one of my favorites because something about second-chances that involve more than just broken hearts, really gets me going and thankfully this one kept me engaged the whole time. It’s a heavy doze of push-pull, second chances aren’t always paved easy and this one was not paved at all, just a bunch of rocks and obstacles in the way…one big one at that. I really did enjoy the angst and story line, Alex is a sweetheart and it took me a little to warm up to Ignacio and Tinley but once I did and of course got further into the details I understood where she was coming form even if I wanted to smack them both upside the head multiple times in the story. Glad I gave this a go and enjoyed myself along with it. Will be trying out more books by this author in the future.

Not my first read by the author, I am a huge can and have read all of her books from beginning to now!

Okay I have to say it but THE FORBIDDEN in this give me ALL. THE. FEELS. and I am loving it. I am going to try and not give out too much, after all I do spoiler-free review’s but this one it’s going to be hard not to blurb it out. This is a forbidden, brothers-best-friend reverse romance. I say reverse because it did feel a little backwards at the end but there is a reason. And I do have a little downfall because of the actions through out the book the ending did feel kind of rushed. Yes there is a reason but still felt rushed. That said here we go:

Heroine is the ‘little sister’ who lost a lot at a young age, only has her older brother who is very protective of her and JACE the hero. Jace is 6 years older and them 3 had a very weird family dynamic, after Farrah’s parents died he moved in to kind of help out. After a night where she couldn’t hide her feelings anymore she finds out that Jace has been feeling the same but it all felt so wrong. Fast forward 3 years, we come back to a HARD Farrah I mean who could blame her, I would have guarded my heart very much so too. With her current asshole of a boyfriend, she is glad that Jace is back in Nathan her brother’s life because their friendship means a lot to them. But what does it mean for Farrah’s heart? Can second-chances really happen?

That’s all I am going to say because otherwise I’ll just spoil it. It’s not a tradition time line, you get both POV’s and there is a lot of where the hero and heroine are dating other people, at the beginning there are some personal minor triggers but I will be honest and skipped over that small part (what can I say I really wanted to get the full feel of the story) glad I stuck with it, it was definitely unique and a slow to fast back to slow burn type of feel. But the epilogue will have you SO HAPPY!

Beautiful story of 3 people whoa re forever bound by an event, where a forbitten romance struck that never stood a chance against and a love shared not just between the main characters. Lot’s of depths, definitely wish it was longer as always I crave that with Penelope’s books but I’ll take what she gives us. Highly recommended, pure Penelope fashion writing!

Not my first read by the author, and I have read enough to where I am familiar with the author’s writing style. But she testing me on this NEW series, I really think she was trying to ANGST kill us all!

Corinne really knows how to throw down a good second-chance! This had a lot going on and I loved each page. But I do have to say that there were a few times I was not a fan of the heroine (you’ll see) but that’s because I just wanted her to JUST BE WITH HIM hehe but only a brief few times. That said I enjoyed this small town second-chance where the heroine leaves for other reasons than to explore the world and the hero didn’t know what he did wrong for her to just leave him. Forward many years and add the cutest little girl and you’ll have a fun but heart wrenching adventure. Everything pulls at your heart strings, the ANGST is very high and as much as I enjoyed it it drove me crazy, which only made me read faster.

The heroine comes back to heal, but not only from her physical wounds. The hero wasn’t expecting to run into her again. Their second-chance may have gone backwards, and pawed with obstacles…mostly it was their mind and heart not aligning, miss-communication, hurt and so much love. Lot’s of action and surprises at the end that will keep you on your toes, I really am trying not too give too much out because as much as I want to tell you just even a little of what happened it will ruin it. Dive in you won’t regret it!
