BRAND NEW to me author and books. I saw this cover first and then read the blurb and really wanted to give it a try, sounded like something I would enjoy reading. Although the writing style was nothing something I was able to click with I did enjoy the story and characters very much. It was fun, cute, suspenseful, romantic and sweet. The H&H are very different yet same in sort of ways. The hero is very protective, alpha and man-ly if you will while the heroine has been keeping to herself and alone, but the heroine in this was very strong as in kept herself going and up during everything she has and is going through. There is a little but of a adventure in this and some twists. All in all I am glad I gave it a shot and wish the author the best.

BRAND NEW to me author. I actually saw this on one of the PR sign-ups and read the blurb and really wanted to have the chance to early review. So happy when I did receive it. Even thought his is book 6 in the series, I really was able to get the full feel OF the story and a little of the other characters. I am not sure if this can be read as a standalone because this is the ONLY book I’ve read in the series.
This was a little different in my eyes, yes the H&H are in the same town, met and everything romance and magical but the heroine did end up leaving the town while the hero stayed behind because he was up for a promotion for the Fire Chief. So for a while when the heroine left I was thinking to myself what will happen, how will they work. Even though it wasn’t my favorite style, I still enjoyed it. This is where the previous book characters came in and of course since I didn’t read the other’s it was a little harder to fit in if you will. Very sweet story and glad I still gave it a chance. Best of luck in everything to the author.

Not my first read by the author but they are still new-ish to me. Thank you to the author for providing me an ARC and I was so excited to read because the first two in this series/mash-up of amazing author’s were just amazing. That said I was taken back a bit by this book because around 60-ish % the story really just takes a huge 180 turn. I was shocked and kept reading but unfortunately it turned on me so much that I did not enjoy the last part of it, to me it was very different than the beginning 50%. To say I was surprised is an understatement. That is the reason for a 4 star from me.
About the book: The hero and heroine really had a strong connection and chemistry once together. Up until that part was fun to watch them get to that point. The hero is very sweet and smart while the heroine is the same yes but very proper it seems to me in a good way. There is a adorable very out-spoken 5 year old that will play a big part and it really made the story very relatable and sweet. This is on the lighter side of reads, small-town single dad romances are a favorite of mine and this one fit in well.

Not my first read by the author, and this is me diving into Book 2 of this duo!
Now in Book 1 I was not NOT a fan of the heroine, I just could not connect with her, I couldn’t connect the hero and her together. Luckily she does redeem herself towards the end in here…I still had a feeling about her that’s the best way to describe it, in the beginning but comes out in victory. In here we get to see more of a H&H connection which is what drove me. We get to experience the reason behind her being so adamant on her life choices, and well Cal our hero, you just fall more and more in love with him. I just wish I had more to go off of in the GOOD sense about the heroine because I was pretty bitter for a long time in the second book…took me a little to get more warmed up to her. All in all I’m glad the heroine came through and the HEA was beautiful, sweet, adventurous and fun.

Not my first read by the author and I have read enough to know her writing style. So this one too me by surprise because her heroines tend to me what I like, this one NO GO on the heroine I am sorry I tried everything, I stopped reading then came back the next day and tried again, I equally disliked her. And yes it may have gotten a little better towards the end as always but something about this heroine pulled me the wrong way. Enough to where I don’t think I will be reading the other books in this series. Like I said I was really surprised that I did not like a Kendall Ryan heroine. I guess snot every book is for everyone!
This is a common book I would say. Not in a bad way necessarily just I have read this plot style and trope so much that it blended in with the rest. It was rather predictable with some twist and turns I didn’t see coming. The heroine is the new owner of her late-grandfathers hockey team, one where her ex is also part of. So that’s where my dislike came in a lot, to the heroine she had a happy and great relationship with her ex, there wasn’t much and she could say about him. Aside of course from what he did to end it all. That just rubbed me the wrong way. The hero actually is not part of a sport at all, but the new security service that the heroine now needs being the new owner and a lot of people not agreeing. To me the hero was running after the heroine like a little puppy, nothing she did was wrong in his eyes and well me not liking her turned me off fully. I don’t mind a hero pinning for the heroine but when it’s this style it’s not MY style. That’s all I am going to say, because I really don’t want anyone to get discouraged, maybe this style is something that you enjoy. Either way, towards the ending I really enjoyed it.

Not my first read by the author, I’ve read enough where I have enjoyed most the books and am familiar with her writing style. I will say that this is a ARC I actually did not sign up for, based on the blurb to me z just did not sound like something that would be up my reading style. But the author was very kind and provided a ARC already so I am thankful for that.
With so that said, I definitely was right about skipping this one and all for person reasons. I’m a egotism reader, I invest myself in the characters, and in this one I just could NOT get over the heroines ex-husband relationship…I tried I really did and I get being good friends so with your ex-husband but in here it rubbed me wrong in all the ways…just personally weird to me and I did not like the vibe. Which kind of sucks because if it wasn’t for that, I’d have ended up loving this even up to a Top 2021 read. Aside from that while deal with me, I really loved the hero and heroine together, their kids were too funny and all the side charcuterie. I mean a handsome sexy fireman and a gorgeous success chef, what a great combo. They are honest with one another, love LOVED their energy and connection they had, not just the romantic sexy but just two people who really are for one other!

This was a interesting read, I was not expecting what I ended up with. In a good way that is. Set in a quarantine feel, the heroine is feeling lost, and turns to her phone. You can understand that when I say that what I mean. But what she didn’t expect is for her past to be present. Was it fate that payed the part or a insanity moment for the heroine that can’t believe a second chance is right there, but will it be possible?
I really enjoyed this book, it had lot’s of laughter, fun, sweetness and romance. I even teared up at times. Glad I gave this a go and I appreciate that the author provided me with a ARC!

NEW to me author and books. I do believe I may have read one of the author’s books many moons ago but do not remember it so I am treating this as a new to me author and after reading the blurb I really wanted to read it and was happy to find out I was selected to receive a ARC.
Okay I will say it first this type of story line and trope happens to be one of my favorites because something about second-chances that involve more than just broken hearts, really gets me going and thankfully this one kept me engaged the whole time. It’s a heavy doze of push-pull, second chances aren’t always paved easy and this one was not paved at all, just a bunch of rocks and obstacles in the way…one big one at that. I really did enjoy the angst and story line, Alex is a sweetheart and it took me a little to warm up to Ignacio and Tinley but once I did and of course got further into the details I understood where she was coming form even if I wanted to smack them both upside the head multiple times in the story. Glad I gave this a go and enjoyed myself along with it. Will be trying out more books by this author in the future.

NEW to me author and books. I received a PR package from The Boom Factory and author, such a beautiful paperback. I also happen to have made the teasers for this book prior to coming out, which now I can’t wait to read it.
I was taken back at how beautiful the writing in this was, I really enjoyed that part and kept me going. The over all outlook style is not in my path but I was happy to give it a full go and enjoyed moments and then also did not enjoy others. 50/50 for me on this one, I was torn from the easy writing and words flow to the characters that kind of I was on the bench of. There was a lot going on where it took you from one direction to the other, I guess my issue with this personally was the character styles…I didn’t really enjoy the heroine fully at all times. That said of course this is all base don my personal experience with the book, characters and story, not reflect on a negative pattern of the actual book. It might be something that you enjoy the most, but it was just really hard to place the ROMANCE part for me in all of this. I couldn’t connect and of course you know that’s hard to put things into perspective and words. Glad I gave it a go and wish the author the best.

New to me author and books. Something about this blurb really drew me in. I’ve read a lot of part of WORLD books and was getting a bit cold on them, then read the blurb and wanted to give it a try. First expression, I liked it from the beginning, the vibe of it. the hero is a boxing champion and the heroine is actually a Cop, so that was different and got me excited. The only downfall for me was that it took quite some time for hero and heroine to even BE if that makes sense so once we cross over to above 25/35% for me, I get a little bored waiting for it, this one was shorter so it kind of balanced that out. although it did end up feeling like it was thrown together, no work up to it feel. I have to say that I did not like the little nickname he had for her, just didn’t fit for me for their relationship. it was cute though in a sense. This hero really is swoon worth in all sense. Loved that he had a huge heart, protective, a man’s man, sweet, smart and sexy. The heroine was very strong feminine, being a Cop that made sense, there was some fun side in there if he, I just images he a little thing but very masculine. I think what fully threw me off this story is that while the hero considered her his girlfriend, when shit his the fan, her response was “we weren’t really together, it was just a real quick thing” even though she was at fault fully. so that turned me off and mostly put me off on the whole story. it got little better in the very end as usual, but I just ended up not being able to vibe with the whole book. (aside from the hero, he was my absolute fav & Sam) I appreciate having the chance to review beforehand.

Not my first read by the author but still very new to me. I want to explain a little why I gave this a 4 and honestly it all came down to personal preference on characters. Sometimes I just can’t connect with them, I can’t connect with them and the story line, the events, it just is not my style personally so when reading it I can’t maybe understand an action or feeling. The writing to me was perfectly fine, but the combination of the story line and mainly the characteristics of the characters just was not my style and threw me off a little. Not that I did not like them just that they were not my style, I jsut tried hard through out the whole book to get connected but couldn’t.
That said, this is a second chance romance with the hero being the heartbreaker and the heroine a sweet girl who only wanted to be part. Years later when these two run into one another, things get a little more complicated. To me it felt not rushed but not not enough, it just like a casual situation or scene, without being able to connect to the characters I couldn’t connect them together. In the end I did read through and enjoyed the ending, epilogues always make me happy and glad I gave it another chance I just unfortunately don’t believe in reading a style that doesn’t fit you, it’s bad for the reader AND the author. I do wish the author and her books the very best! 🙂

Not my first read by the author and I have also read Book 1 in this duo. I have to admit I had to kind of skim over and re read by Book 1 review because of the gap so I didn’t fully remember the ending and all. That said I am 50/50 so so on this conclusion, well so this is a Series but Book 1 and this one are the same hero and heroine. It was kind of a BOOM ending of book 1 so I had expectations.
Sam receives some rather hard news and well the truth in the ending of book 1 so now he is confused and unsure how to continue on with Chloe and everything. He is torn back and forth, there is some twists thrown in and because he’s so unsure and of the events I don’t want to name to give too much out, the store had times where it went in circles, the drama went up and down but still in circles of the same. It got little slow for me. What saved it all for me is the love between Sam and Chloe, when it was just them two, Sam was so handsome and sweet and sexy and Chloe being her awkward self..it really just worked for them two. New love but a long time coming!

Not my first read by the author, and I have enjoyed all of the ones I have read. This was something else and different form the author so it took me a little to get used to it. I don’t know if I just wasn’t used to this type form the author but I couldn’t get into it fully or fast enough. I was fighting myself between Dark Mafia Romance the full on effect and this which to me seemed a in between so that’s probably why I was battling between it. That said the romance part of this was amazing and I loved it from Jeannine because she really does that well but the mafia and suspense was not there fully for me. The heroine was a 50/50 but I really did enjoy the hero, he kept me going to be honest. I am glad I had the chance to review and read something different I am used to from the author.

This was a perfect combo of both authors, well put together and lots of twist and turns. I do have to say off the bat that it was a 50/50 for me. There was something that rubbed me the wrong way about both characters and I can’t put my finger on it. I am just saying the taste of them together, just something off for me. The characters were a little younger to my liking and by that I mean the heroine, she just, I get where she was coming from and the situation but she was very simple but naïve. That said, I did enjoy the story line and situations, Lot’s of heart in it.

NEW to me author and books! I was drawn to this by the blurb and of course the cover is pretty awesome too!
This one was SUPER emotional and the angst, pain but so sweet at times and romantic. The hero Shane is actually married in this, his wife not only tells him that she wants a divorce but also leaving him for another man. The worse part of all this isn’t so much the pain from that but the pain from losing her all together, from a car accident. I was a mess with all this. All the questions he had will forever be left unanswered. The heroine is the estranged sister of his dead wife, Kate. I can’t explain how I felt about her, it was a 50/50 something I couldn’t fully connect with her. Needless to say these two were very REAL and the events, something that you will keep reading faster to find out what happens.
Courage, faith, loss, grieve, second-chance and passion in all the senses. I would warn you that this is SLOW BURN and a painful one at that. Single Dad / Widower trying to figure out how to love again, how to give his heart.
