Not my first read by the author, I have read the other books in the series which this is the first series ever by the author. I loved Book #1 and everything it came with. Will was EVERYTHING, so I was super excited for Thomas because he was just so mysterious and drawn in.

Now it’s been a while since I read Will’s story where Thomas apears and I almost wish I re-read that one to get a feel of Thomas again because I don’t know what happened but I felt like I was ping-ponged the whole tory. I couldn’t connect to the H or H fully and them together was even harder, it felt more forced to me their feelings and the writing. Even when I finished I asked myself what just happened, I get why she did what she did in the end there but it was all in a span of a few pages and I was actually expecting it to either be a cliffy or hoping we got more of that…and THERE IS NO EPILOGUE! There is nothing more I dislike but no epilogue and I hope we get some sort of something from them because I am now left so confused and lost.

This is a story of two souls that are alike that’s how they find one another but are intertwined a lot more than they would have ever imaged. It’s got suspense, mystery and action. The romance I can’t explain because it was kind of everywhere for me but the moment’s that captured me REALLY captured me. The heroine is a sheltered good girl and the hero is the bad boy. Their story was sure interesting, and I hope to maybe get more in a Novella or the next book.

Not my first read by the author and not my last. I’ve been a Lani fan for many years and I was so excited about this one, even if she did *smack shock us* at the end.

I think I am still in a little bit of a shock as to this book. First I will say I’d recommend reading the Cross Fit series as to the shocker will make a lot more sense. That said….WHAT, WHY LANI? *insert crying emoji* This was, left me speechless because by the time my gears were running as to WHAT and WHO series this is from part of the Cross Fit Series I WANTED TO SCREAM AND CRY at the same time. That said let me tell you a little about this book, I say little because I honestly will NOT spoil the twist and ending for anyone! I also would highly recommend reading the MADD CROSSFIT SERIES first! In my opinion this book would go much better with after reading at least the last book in that series!

This is a story of monsters and the men that turned into them. We have the hero who is well experienced in life, his kids grown, divorced and living a life of hell in a monster’s body. So why can’t he stop thinking about his best friend’s daughter. She practically grew up alongside his own, same age and all. Little did he know the feelings were mutual, but the world will try to keep them apart. The heroine is a 22 year old who has suffered from child hood, don’t get me wrong she has the best support system….her father and brother, except when she lost her brother she also might as well have lost her father. This one broke my heart because as the heroine is young and has her tendencies to act on that, she is still grown for her age. She’s always had a thing for Mr. Crow just never acted on it, when opportunity presents itself, this is where the she acts her age a little comes in. But danger is just around the corner and not just the H & H learn a lesson in this book.

I. CAN’T. WAIT. FOR. MORE. I knew this series was going to blow me away and be good but I did NOT expect this. A little note to the author: you just had you, didn’t you…had to go and break out hearts?

Not my first read by the author, she is still a little NEW to me so I am getting used to the style. This is most def a DARK ROMANCE with twists. Also this is a cliffy in which I did not pay attention or bother to research so it was a surprise cliffy to me. I don’t usually mind them but they are not my favorite and I should have known since this author is known for them.

Before I get into the the rest I want to call out the heroine and say that it took me a while to get used to her. She is 20 and immature at that age on certain scenes and action, I was hoping for a more stronger heroine in a sense of acting older than her age but it did work out in it’s own. Just had a hard time feeling her fully. She is very verbal, foul mouth and acts tough that might have played a part that annoyed me about her.

To me this was a dark romance with a twist and the twist being that it could very well be a not dark romance just a age-gap steamy romance, but the circumstances made it dark. You wouldn’t put a construction worker as a dark hero but boy was he dark. His past was equally exciting as hurtful. I really don’t want to give out too much but will say key words like ‘kink & bdsm fire hot sex’ that’s all about that. There is a lot to this and I can’t wait to read the rest and hope they get a happy ending a delicious romantic sexy ending that is because these two together are CHEMISTRY OVERLOAD loved loved loved them together! It’s got danger, angst, spice and realness to it, again can’t wait to read more of these two!

Not my first read by the author, she is still a little new author to me so I am getting the hang of things. What I do love about Louise is her writing style so far, interesting characters and great stories!

Madison and Nathan meet during a wedding. Their connection is non-mistaken, I mean the kind you read and FEEL it. After spending time talking to one another, they spend time talking to one another in the horizontal way 😉 all night and boy was it hot! That’s it right? You would think after a one night stand or a quick fling you’d never have to see each other again. Wrong, the heroine get’s a work assignment that includes not only seeing the hero again but following him closely to be able to write the pieces asked for. She really does want to make it permanently in the company so her hands were tied in the fact that she will have to spend a lot of time now around the hero. The hero is a Billionaire CEO that agrees to the PR even knowing that this piece is more of his personal life. After all they both connected well, what can go wrong! Famous last words of anyone! I really enjoyed this book because it contained humor, yes it did have a few spots where personally I could have lived without for my personal taste but they were quick enough I was able to move on from. Their chemistry in instant again, and it made a fun fast read!

Wow! Is really all I can say. I did not see that coming and as much as it was a shock, I loved the build up and mystery. Another read where Natasha YET AGAIN shattered my poor little heart to pieces. Broken hero, Strong heroine, Action, Romance, mystery and lots of great! I love this whole series and this made a perfect addition!

About the book: Heroine is the daughter of my actual least fav Book (her parents) and i don’t mean that in a bad way, i just still have a hang up with her mother. So the fact that she was the way she was wasn’t a surprise to me, fits it well I just wasn’t overly in love with the heroine. I definitely felt for her deeply. Hope that makes sense. Thr hero is not only broken but alone and just out there in the world trying to survive and make it. His mother never gave him anything in life so he had learned the hard way to live. He will break your heart, as in shatter it and not the type where a man breaks up with you, oooh no way worse. These two really start off as friends and have a level of understanding between them and also kind of their own language. The hero never gives up and the heroine finally gives in. Super steamy and sexy. Loved them together and the ending WOW!

Not my first read by the author but this is my 2nd book ever & I was waiting for it because the first one in this series blew me away. SAME! Is all I can say for this book!

Where do I begin? Oh, how about the fact that the HERO is not only broody, alpha, big, mean looking, sexy as sin, dirty, smart, loyal and protective! Yeah! That said this is a fairy tale story with a dirty twist! The hero Rhys is ex-military who now does Personal Security for a living. And he is one of the best. The heroine Bridget (yes I LOVE her freaking name for this) is well a Princess. When her old bodyguard needed to be replaced, in comes the hero. From the moment they met it was war. But all’s fair in love & war right?! That’s exactly what this delicious book was, slow burn, angst, enemy-to, dangerous, mystery…it really had it all and I was hanging on to every page like a little puppet just read for more. These two DO NOT get along, I think what they enjoyed the most is to rile each other up, one way by him calling the heroine PRINCESS and her calling the hero MR. LARSEN. But Rhys was there to do what he does best, so from the beginning he let’s her know what his rules are. But rules are meant to be broken, especially by a Princess.

What I enjoyed the most in this is the build up, every time you think something will happen either romantically or action wise you don’t get what you expect. I also loved the dedication, loyalty and ROMANCE in this! There were few bumps but I am happy to let you know that the hero is all about his princess and well he can be a demanding hard man. (pun intended) When these two meet in the love-circle SHEEEESH the steamy heat radar is off the charts with this one. I think I blushed at 1am reading this. Needles to say, it is a long read but a beautiful one. It run’s it’s course over a few years and there are so many new’s, twist and action…truly was PAGE GRIPPING!

I am slightly nervous for the next one because I have a feeling they might actually kill each other. Stella & Christian are next and let the fun begin! p.s. Stella is the Princess’s best friend and she was fun to interact with in this book. Christian is Rhys’s boss and a total A-HOLE MEAN type of Alpha. That’s all!

Not my first read by the author and I have read all the books in the series. And unfort this one was not my taste. It was still a great read because I love the uniqueness that Lani brings to books and the characters but just wasn’t fully for me. But that does not mean it’s not for you!

This series alone if you’ve read any of them is unique and fun! It revolves around the hero’s doing time, different reasons and so forth. This one was unique because it involved a hero that actually rescued the heroine but paid the price. But not without having to always see her. Yes that’s where the fun really begins. To be honest I would too if I had someone rescue me from what had almost occurred. They truly did have a bond that neither could explain but it was beautiful and sweet and very real! They encounter a few hick up’s and some surprises but after all end up only getting stronger…that’s until another incident that shakes them both almost breaks it all apart! Again if this is your first read, it’s worth the full read and I enjoyed the whole process, characters, story line and actions! This is more on the action side of what happens rather than romance, there is heat in there but it’s more raw and real and fast! I am looking forward to the next!

Not my first time reading the author. I have read about all of her books and I have been invested in this series, very seriously hehe. So I was a little skeptical of this one because I knew who the heroine is and well, sadly it just did not click with me. I don’t know what it was exactly about the heroine but over-all I just could not connect with her. As you know if you’ve read any of my reviews, I am a emotional reader and I really invest myself into the characters and even though this story broke me, I think it was the lingering of the past that really just didn’t sit with me. At one point I understand and at another to me it was prolonged too long and the H&H’s relationship status for a while (that broke me most because to me it seemed like the hero was begging the heroine and she just couldn’t make up her mind). This is a very emotional story on both the heroine and hero, so grab some tissue it will sting the heart a bit! The reason this book for a 4.5 instead of a 4 is because I love Emma’s writing and I have read every book in this series and loved them, so I know this was just more my personal preferences.

A little about the book: Makenna Clarke is now a woman that has a LONG and painful past. Not one just many, and so far she has been able to live under the radar all until one afternoon when Colt the hero shows up at her door with someone. It all changes from there, Colt knows part of her secret but there is more. Colt is a man that himself has a difficult past because he also lost something close to his heart. His flying under radar was a lot easier but still painful to live with on a daily base. Living in a small town, having the same friends group, after all Colt is Kenna’s best friends older brother and they could never go there, can they? With all of the secrets threatening to come out, difunctional family problems and the secret relationship…H&H we not ready when it all hit the fan. But the real question is, will Kenna let herself love and will Colt want to hang on until?

I won’t get into too much because there is a lot of parts to this book, a lot of secrets, threats, messed up family, tears, pain, laughter, friendship, sexy as sin police officers that are there for you no matter what. I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED the hero Colt, I mean he was everything I would want from a man even half broken. So SWOONY!

Not my first read by Corinne and not my last, and yes I have read almost all of her books including the first book in this series, THAT KILLED ME and this one woke me up and then killed me again. That’s where I would like to start, Corinne WHY why do this to a woman who is a hopeless romantic with a weak heart?! You explain yourself right now! When I say this is a tear jerker HAVE TISSUE handy for sure. The sad part about all this is that it’s so beautifully broken you can’t help but be happy with tears! Corinne you SHOOK MY WORLD with this book and now I have a major #bookhangover!

A little about the book: I will not be giving out any spoiler not even a little because let me tell you when I say this needs to be experienced THIS NEEDS to be experienced. If you’ve read book 1 you know that this is the hero’s little sister and his best friend. Yes, this heroine was young and crazy in love with the hero (no matter how much the hero was her brothers older best friend) one night changed it all. Fast forward over a decade and Stella is still living a lie, day by day just to get by. Is she dead inside, absolutely, but she will not ruin anything for her family. They are have had a rough years with their father who is a horrible person, controlling them like little puppets. When Stella and her brothers form a plan, it’s going to be sweet! The hero Jack is *tearing up* he is not only broken but so just deep down in pain. His soul, I would never wish the pain he endured and endures with Stella to anyone. When one wedding day just SNAPS and part of the truth comes out…nothing is as it seems. Years of pent up emotions, feelings and pain all come to the surface. The only question is if Stella and Jack can face it together!

This story was heart-rending, I mean I cried my eyes out the entire time. I felt every pain, every sad smile, every sad laugh, the emotions I can’t even explain! I can’t wait to read more and get a little more glimpses of them two! Will forever be my favorite CORINNE book to day! If you want your heart to be ripped out and slowly put together one tragedy at a time, if you want to feel the love between two people who are meant to be in every sense, if you want a beautiful relationship not just between H&H but the siblings and side characters, if you want to FEEL THE MOVE this is a book for you!!

Not my first read by the author but I haven’t read a lot of her books, this one basically stole my heart. I loved everything about it. So happy I gave this a try and ended up falling in love with the characters and story line!

This is as simple as the blurb is, a billionaire romance with a twist. I will go ahead and tell you right now that you will need tissues because this was so heartbreakingly beautiful, gah even though at the time I was screaming NO at the heroine, I so understand why she did what she did in the end. To love somebody that mush to sacrifice it all (send me that man my way please) These two are super sweet because the hero is a grumpy British billionaire with a daughter he loves more than anything. The heroine is his best friend’s little sister that yes has had a crush on him, or even more if you will. Their relationship just is so easy and fun and sweet and romantic and agitating…but it’s one you will fall in love with. There is a twist towards the end and no you won’t see it coming, that’s all I am saying about that. Wish there was more as always when I fall in love with a book but highly recommend this one!

NEW to me author and books. This book can be read as a standalone. The blurb is what caught my eye and I had to give it a god and try, suspense dark romance is kind of a favorite of mine. AND BOY WAS IT A GOOD ONE!!!!!

I don’t even know where to start on this. At first I was a little worried because I have a thing for NA YA romances (this one is not a YA) but the heroine is on the younger side, luckily she was the perfect combo of young and mature. What I loved about this book is that there is no the H&H making each other jealous by actually condoning acts with other characters, ex’s and so forth! That’s huge for me in a dark romance! This had everything a dark and suspense romance needs: older broken broody and dark anti-hero, a younger but mature sweet and sunshine but sassy heroine and all the ACTION you need! And don’t get me into the sexy scene HOLY HOTNESS!! All in all I will say that I will be reading more by the author and can’t wait for more in this series! #bookhangover

A little about the book: Alex may be your typical anti-hero but he has a twist, he is dirty, honest, knows what he wants, takes control, beyond smart but the hurt he has inside his heart can’t be explained. Ava is just trying to finish school, with her overly protective brother always on her back, she just wants to live life, see the good in people and be loved. She may see the good in people but she sees more in Alex. Their relationship is different, forbidden but filled with filthy thoughts, actions and so much heart. The way Alex is with Eva even in the harsh reality moments or words, it’s beautiful in it’s own way. Alex holds a secret that I didn’t even see coming, everything hits hard towards the end and I won’t lie I wasn’t sure which way the book was going to go, it broke my heart so much but also I had a huge understanding of Alex’s actions. Their chemistry is off the charts in all the aspects, the scenes are intense, the sex is dirty in the best ways and the love…well, little ol’ Ava teaches Alex something about love! This was a fun read! I say fun because it’s hockey for one my favorite sports romance and two because it involved the heroine in power so to say. The hero and heroine do have a past/history and after 6 years of being broken up and not really in each other’s anything, they both get a very sweet shock to find out that the heroine Jazz is now the owner of the same hockey team that her old boyfriend Lincoln. The fun part in all this is watching the skirt around each other, knowing very well that Jazz still has strong feelings and always had for the hockey hunk. But now everything is forbidden of course, after all she co-owns the team with her brothers, not to mention she has always dreamed of this, so after their father passed and left the term to them, she was excited well, maybe not fully after realizing that Lincoln old be there but excited to start new for her. Lincoln is a man who is not only under appreciated, under played but is sick of it and wants to change it, or leave. But with Jazz as the new owner he knows that messing anything with her again will not only break her and his heart but also his career., so he keeps his distance and tries his best to just have a professional relationship even if deep down that’s the last thing he wants to do. It was fun and heartbreaking to watch these two come together and I LOVED loved the heroine so much in this, the hero too but she took the cake for me.

Not my first read by the author, I am a huge can and have read all of her books from beginning to now!

Okay I have to say it but THE FORBIDDEN in this give me ALL. THE. FEELS. and I am loving it. I am going to try and not give out too much, after all I do spoiler-free review’s but this one it’s going to be hard not to blurb it out. This is a forbidden, brothers-best-friend reverse romance. I say reverse because it did feel a little backwards at the end but there is a reason. And I do have a little downfall because of the actions through out the book the ending did feel kind of rushed. Yes there is a reason but still felt rushed. That said here we go:

Heroine is the ‘little sister’ who lost a lot at a young age, only has her older brother who is very protective of her and JACE the hero. Jace is 6 years older and them 3 had a very weird family dynamic, after Farrah’s parents died he moved in to kind of help out. After a night where she couldn’t hide her feelings anymore she finds out that Jace has been feeling the same but it all felt so wrong. Fast forward 3 years, we come back to a HARD Farrah I mean who could blame her, I would have guarded my heart very much so too. With her current asshole of a boyfriend, she is glad that Jace is back in Nathan her brother’s life because their friendship means a lot to them. But what does it mean for Farrah’s heart? Can second-chances really happen?

That’s all I am going to say because otherwise I’ll just spoil it. It’s not a tradition time line, you get both POV’s and there is a lot of where the hero and heroine are dating other people, at the beginning there are some personal minor triggers but I will be honest and skipped over that small part (what can I say I really wanted to get the full feel of the story) glad I stuck with it, it was definitely unique and a slow to fast back to slow burn type of feel. But the epilogue will have you SO HAPPY!

Beautiful story of 3 people whoa re forever bound by an event, where a forbitten romance struck that never stood a chance against and a love shared not just between the main characters. Lot’s of depths, definitely wish it was longer as always I crave that with Penelope’s books but I’ll take what she gives us. Highly recommended, pure Penelope fashion writing!

Not my first read by the author, and I do LOVE Amy’s books, I’ve read the previous books in the series and have been WAITING for this one. I don’t know why but I think Amy is the only author I’ve read where her heroine could be age 20 and so mature and awesome that I overlook the age (usually the younger heroines are immature and winey annoying) this is far from it and I love her writing style for it. Also I AM MENTALLY DRAINED after reading this, might need a day or two to move on! WOW!

This book simply BLEW ME AWAY. From page one to the sweet sweet end. I don’t even know where to start. It’s a forbidden, age-gap, rocker romance with a brother’s best friend and all the FELLS in the world. One thing I will always touch on is Amy’s writing, it’s poetic with big words that make you dream! That’s the best way I can describe it. This one contained mystery and suspense which heightened the appeal of it all. Rhys and Maggie are like the DREAM COME TRUE HEA because their love may have crept up on them but something between them has always been there. The sweet innocent smart beautiful Maggie and the big tough rugged playful Rhys that was harboring a much deeper secret and chip he was carrying on his shoulder. Even though Maggie had her own set of problems happening, she was just amazing, a favorite heroine for being so stoic and sweet and just all about the hero but still fun and young. I am not going to give out a lot but will say that THERE IS A LOT! You will be whirled away into a life that you can only think of but Amy brings that alive in your imagination, just was fantastic!

Not my first read by the author, I am very well acquainted with her writing and love a lot of her books, I also have read the previous books in this series.

I knew going into this one that I’d be 50/50 because of the heroine. She’s very strong and well a boss of your will which is great but a slight turn off for me. Luckily the hero matches and out-matches her so it balanced but I want fully sold on this heroine for a while. She has a big heart but it’s naked with a lot of proper I’m rich and sexy style of attitude feel that gives me an off vibe. Their relationship feels more like a friend with benefits, dangerous forbidden SEXY AS FUCK vibe. He is very much the alpha sexy in suit man, they both would combine a POWERHOUSE couple of that makes sense. 
That said the story did not disappoint! I was on my toes and even though I kind of guessed maybe not fully, it still took me by surprise. I ended up really loving both of in the end, even though deep down I’d like to have smacked the hero upside the head first…but definitely happy with 2 epilogues and the after feel of the story!
