Not my first read by the author, and I have read many on/off. So far it’s been 50/50 with the author’s books but I keep coming back because the ones I have loved I REALLY loved. This one was something different for me from the author.

I was on the fence about this one, it really started promising for me but the more I got into it the more I was feeling overwhelmed, it starts of in the US and migrates to France which I don’t have a problem with but I sadly have to say that there was TOO MUCH French and accent for me…I don’t mind it at all but this was overwhelming for me. The heroine is a easy going, sassy, true american and the hero is a Frenchman on a mission, rude, broody and very handsome. This is a office-romance type of feel, unfortunately I did not feel this one, just couldn’t connect fully, I kept trying to fully understand all the French and well the heroine just rubbed me wrong, she was just too simple and the hero there was huge potential there. *Just because it did not work for me doesn’t mean it won’t work for you.

Not my first read by the author but new enough where I have only read one other book by her. What caught me was the blurb and cover, glad I gave this a chance. Celebrity romance isn’t usually my go to, just something about it is too clique for me, this was a 50/50 for me, I had a little bit of a harder time connecting to it all.

What really did work for me was that I was captive to the story, I could feel it and relate to some too but again mostly it has to do because I don’t tend to read the trope and it’s over-read for me. Justin was NOT my favorite the entire book, to me he was too immature and yes he is young but it went over the line for me. I was able to predict the story line a little but again really want to express that the author’s words kept me captive.

Not my first read by the author and I have read all of them, and also have read book #1 in this duet.

First off I want to say that the ending of Book #1 ripped me apart, so waiting for this, I had all kinds of emotions happening before even the 2nd chapter. I was slightly skeptical in book #1 but once i fell in love with Reese and Cooper and their relationship and what they have come out of?! I couldn’t get enough. Cooper continues to be the ultimate hero, his love for Reese knows no bounds and he really shows and tells. Get ready for that magical chemistry, angst, emotional rides and SO MUCH LOVE! I really don’t want to dive into too deep since it is the conclusion and I gotta say YOU really want it shush shush and experience it!

Not my first read by the author i first fell in love with and i mean re fell in love with her Winnipeg book sooo hard. So i was used to get slow burns, since I’ve read a lot of her other books as well so this will be with a heavy hard to write this review. But i am always honest with my reviews, as i also am a emotional reader. Since i don’t do spoilers and i rather not get into them I’ll try to explain best of my feelings for this book. 

The heroine is a quirky adorable woman who works two jobs, one she hates one she loves. The hero is a quarterback in the NFL and has been all his life. these two have known each other since in diapers, nothing too tragic on their child hoods while some with the heroine. They end up not taking or seeing each other for 10 years due to reasons and when a chance presents itself for the heroine to have to see the hero, she is even more heartbroken when he doesn’t remember her. see the heroines cousin who plays a big part is bffs to the hero, all their life from day one and still. That said i really don’t want to get into too much of the store, there is a lot of it. But I’d love to express my feelings for the following:
1. I felt very disconnected to the hero the entire time until the very end. yes its her pov only but i longer for that connection with him
2. dare i say this,  but even THIS was too platonic for me. i felt no romance in any sense but at the end.  heck i thought she’d be better off with Santiago. here is why: the hero calls her kiddo THE ENTIRE BOOK and i his be honest but a few times i get but it threw me off every single time even in the end,  also doesn’t help that he patted her shoulder or head like a little sister type, it just threw me off soooo hard. 
3. when you have a VERY slow burn, to me you risk the whole story being mostly forgotten once you reach the peek, in this case at the very end. I will say this,  not a spoiler but only 1 sex scene in this (nothing wrong with it just letting you know). The first kiss was super cute though. I enjoyed the peek and epilogue but here is my problem, when you get that portion in so little i always want, no need more. again, might be a lot of people’s likes but, unfortunately for me… this was a painful slow. All that said, i want to praise the hell out of Mariana for her words, story line and characters, no matter what is what i fell in love with with reading her first book. I’m sorry this one ended up not being one for me but I’m sure they’re will be plenty more for me to try.

I have read this author before, actually was one of my firsts many moons ago and I re-read this beauty the other day because I was craving a familiar read and scrolled WAAAAAAY down on my kindle and found this gem. What I loved about this book is that you connect to it right away and it’s written so well!!

Jared is a 39 year old former hockey star, who had a career ending injury. When he essentially runs away to a small town by a lake into a big house, he has some surprising surprises that come up. Mia is a woman that has lived in this small town for a few years now and ran away from something that will blow your mind when you find out that the world really is that small. When she accidentally catches the new neighbor going at it with a leggy blonde on the dock, she is shocked at how much she wanted to watch….until a week later the same neighbor is seen hugging a brunette…a pregnant brunette. Her mind changes right away, knowing that men are pigs…well new neighbor stamped that strong. When they both meet it’s not love at first sight but it’s so so so beautiful, I don’t want to give out too much because honestly it’s worth reading and once you find out, you’ll understand why I kept it vague. Really just fell in love with this all over again. The world really is small and things never seem as they are, both Jared and Mia learn that the hard way.

There is romance, tears, swoon, sexy, little mystery, suspense, fun and so so so much SWEET!! A MUST READ!

Not my first read by the author and I have to say that being able to read this all back to back was FANTASTIC! It was never ending and that’s how I like it! I could probably write a whole lot of paragraphs for each story but I think I will sum it down to what all three had in the best qualities that I enjoyed.

Wealthy, well known, handsome, dark and sexy hero ✔ Strong, Sassy, Beautiful and super smart Heorines ✔ Events that will leave you wanting more with mystery, suspense and action ✔ Beautiful and Hot Romance ✔ Basically all three of these were FANTASTIC to me. I just kept reading and didn’t want it to end, it’s the right amount of DARK for me also.
