RELEASE DATE: April 8, 2021

This is a NEW to me author, and I really wanted to five into this world and I am so glad I gave this a shot. The author did a fantastic job of it being the first and it has me wanting more!

I pretty much loved everything about this, from both the H & H! This is a 2nd chance, the two have a past that involves a prom and a terrible senior year for the Heroine. She hightails it out of the small town as soon as she could, to go out and be happy in the BIG CITY. When she realized how much she really never wanted that bug city, it’s in a unfortunate time that she also was already heading back to her hometown because her mother broke her hip. When she comes back she didn’t even think that she would run into Wyatt, the bot who not only broke her heart but humiliated her. The bot she remembers is now a man, a totally different man. Having been gone through his own horrible years after making a huge mistake, Wyatt is instantly smitten with Sadie. Sadie sticks it to him good I will say, that was the fun part and after that EVERYTHING WAS SO SWOONY!!!!!! I can’t wait to read more, now I wish I had read this a little slower because it’s something I will be coming back to re-read in the future!

R E V I E W ➠ Mine to Guard by Kennedy L. Mitchell

Accused of a series of murders she didn’t commit, Rae doesn’t have anyone to rely on. Except him. Alec Bronson, the popular boy who broke her heart all those years ago—now a smoking hot man—is her only hope of proving her innocence and finding the person eager to kill everyone she loves.
It’s been two decades since Texas Ranger Alec Bronson last saw Rae. He shouldn’t get involved, but with one look at his childhood friend behind the steel bars and her proclamations of innocence, he’s convinced to take the case. The battle to keep his renewed feelings for the curvaceous woman hidden becomes impossible when the true killer emerges once again, targeting the only woman he’s ever loved.
Life-altering secrets are revealed as the evidence mounts, pointing toward the killer who’s determined to make Rae pay for her past. When confronted with the truth, Rae is forced to make a decision.
His life or hers.
If you love a little darkness, murder, and possessive alpha heroes with the need for control mixed into your suspense then this series is for you. Please note this book is for mature readers due to detailed sexual content, foul language, discussion of abuse, and a killer who will stop at nothing.

RELEASE DATE: April 19, 2021

Not my first read by the author and yes I have read the other’s in the series! I will say that I can’t wait for Charlie’s story (he is the best bud of this hero) and really an interesting character on his own.

That said, let’s get right into it. First off the reason this got a 4.5 and not 5 star is because of the heroine. I just really wanted to overly love her like the hero but just couldn’t. And I’ll warn you right now, I won’t be able to say much because it is a mystery book and well I really rather not spoil it for you, and trust me…you’ll want to dive into this without any spoilers. Here is a little about the book.

Rae and Alec have history. They were high school sweethearts and very much in love. Under unfortunate circumstances, forward 2 decades later and one phone call. That phone call took everything out of Rae to make but she had no other choice. Alec of course drops everything to her aid but is shocked to find her in the place she was. Not to mention how much she has grown up into a gorgeous woman, full of curves and the same smile. Rea is embarrassed to be reunited with her ex boyfriend who she never got over, but the boy did just up and leave her after making promises. They both had to focus on the task, events involving death were occurring again, a decade later and Rae doesn’t know why. She’s been living under a rock, secluded, no family, no friends, no relationships, so why again. She has a BIG SECRET she is keeping herself, not to mention more secrets that come out.

Texas Ranger Alex is confused to what Rae has gotten herself into and what secrets she is keeping. Secrets he knows she will not tell, but as time goes maybe will trust him enough again. He does his best to be there for her but all she does is push him away…little does he know it’s for his own good. These two are in a fight for their life, in every sense. The killer is out there, targeting close to home, toying with them…questions is, will Alec let him get close enough to hurt Rae or is he in danger himself?

Okay, I have to say that this is a heavy doze of mystery and suspense…the best kind. I love this series because of it. These two really have an adventure, a dangerous one that is. I don’t want to dwell too much on my dislikes because they are just personal preferences and nothing like a trigger involving. I just had a little bit of a hard time with their back and forth, something happens and BAM it’s pulled out from you back to the beginning, and of course the hardest was connecting with the heroine. I’ll give you a little hint but the ending, wasn’t what I expected and I can’t say what without giving it away but that also played a big part of my rating. Again, all personal preferences. I can’t wait for me and reading this makes me want to re read book 1 and 2!

R E V I E W ➠ Farm to Mabel by Krista Sandor

(Farm to Mabel Duet #1)

What’s an aspiring fashionista stuck in the sticks to do? Fly the coop and head to the city.
Success in the world of haute couture is within her grasp when a scandalous secret takes her down.
Now, there’s nowhere left to go but back to the one place she doesn’t want to be—the farm.
But the town is in trouble—big financial trouble—and Mabel’s got the skills to help.
The kicker—she’ll have to work with Cal if she wants to get paid.
If the town makes a profit, she will, too. It’s her one-way ticket off the farm.
But the longer she’s home, the harder it is to resist Cal’s tantalizing kisses.
Will Cal’s warm embrace persuade her to stay, or will the temptation of her big-city dreams be too hard to ignore?

RELEASE DATE: March 25, 2021

Not my first read by the author. Krista and I go way back, but it seems like yesterday when I read her first book and here we are many books in and I still get excited to read her releases. This one is a duo and I was surprised we were getting that from Krista do I was naturally excited.

A little about the book: Hero and heroine share a past as in they have know each other since they were kids. The hero is the heroine’s older brother’s best friend. A boy that had always ignored her, even as they grew up into the teens and early 20’s. Have tissue right up front because it’s starts of with a event that will have you tear up and cry, but when tragedy strikes Mabel does what she’s always dreamed of and sets off. Her idea of a life is in the big city, being involved in the influencer life, traveling the world. Bigger and better things than the small town she is in. The hero is a home-boy he wants to stay in town and change the world starting with his town, make a name for himself and grow the town. After all it wasn’t only his dream. 4 years later and the infamous Mabel is back from the big city, with her tail between her legs. Mabel ended up exactly where she ran from and what’s worse that a lot had changed in the four years from her own father, to the farm, to Cal the hero and his family and situation. When Mabel and Cal have to work together, they really do work together well but of course tension is at it’s highest. Cal had already rejected Mabel once, can she risk herself again for the same outcome?

*I want to say after reading the book, okay, so I waited to finish book 1 in hopes that it might change a little for me, the way I feel about the heroine. So here we are. This is not a negative towards the boo but a personal feeling. I want to address that in the very beginning there wasn’t much of the H&H, I didn’t get that connection I was looking for so that started the rocky feeling for the heroine for me. In the end she was just really mean, to me. Like I understand someone would want to leave a small town and be in the big city, but her dream was to make it as a influencer, do the whole like&follows to travel the world style and personally, I can not stand those type of people because usually they just come off as city snobs. And well, she definitely acted like a city snob and just I don’t know heartless and mean. Again, I did not get that connection between H&H before all this so when the author put them together, it was more awkward for me to read them together. I guess I was missing the emotional connection between the two. Really bummed because I’ve read all of Krista’s books and had that connection so this took me by surprise. Again could just be me, but I cringed reading her because she just came off a bitch to me. Again really sucks because I freaking enjoyed everything else, the idea the plot the words and scenes. There is no sexy scene in this book (aside from a 1/4 one) so very slow burn, and of course it’s a cliffy. Fingers crossed the heroine can somehow redeem herself for me in book 2. I feel bad for not loving her because I really enjoyed the story I just couldn’t connect with her at all. (Don’t kill me Krista I was shocked actually that she came out of your writing 😉

R E V I E W ➠ The Butterfly Effect by Kelly Elliott

The butterfly effect — one small change, one moment in time that impacts the future.

At twenty-six years old I never dreamed I’d walk in on my husband in bed with my best friend. At twenty-seven years old I found myself divorced, and the mother of a one-year-old son. Never mind I was learning to take the reins of my family’s apple orchard business. There was no way my life could be any more complicated…or so I thought.
Can a woman who’s lost all trust in men help a man who can’t even trust himself?
Aiden O’Hara was my brother’s best friend, and I would be remiss if I said I hadn’t always found him utterly attractive—and the passing of time or circumstances didn’t change that. But when he moves back to Boggy Creek Valley after serving his time as a Navy SEAL, I cannot deny the pull I feel between us.
Aiden is haunted by his own demons—demons that seem bigger than the both of us—and my heart warns me to stay away. I’d been burned already and didn’t need that added complication in my life, or so I thought. But one moment in time changes everything between us, and neither one of us can deny the hidden feelings we share.
Our pasts want to keep us apart…our future will be up to the wings of fate.

The Butterfly Effect is book one in the Boggy Creek Valley series and is a stand-alone novel.

RELEASE DATE: APRIL 6, 2021

Not my first read by the author, and she happens to be one of my favorite authors. This something new from Kelly I was super excited for, so happy I had the chance to early read and review this!

I don’t know where to start on this, I guess first of this is a long book so you will get your hearts fill. It’s heavy on the angst and slow burn, small town, second-chance, H&H have a history. Willa and Aiden have known each other since Willa was just a kid. Aiden is the big brother’s best friend and off limits in all the ways. That didn’t stop Willa from dreaming of one day being his, married, children and all the 1.5 things a young girl dreams of. That dream gets shattered in unexpected ways. Forward almost a decade and Willa is older, understands more and is leaving behind a stupid marriage that shouldn’t have happened in the first place. But what is a woman supposed to do when the man she wants and loves doesn’t want her? Their re-union may have been a bitter sweet one but the events that happen next and through the end are well very unexpected and beautiful.

This one took me for a ride, like a rollercoaster ride!! Because H&H knew one another for when they were kids there was so much history there that I hung on to all the words in which dragged me to all the angst to a point where at 11pm i wanted to scream at my kindle. There were good and bad moods while reading this. The bad ones usually consisted because the hero needed to be smacked hard or the heroine needed to be nudged out of the awkward zone she placed herself in at times. All in all I really enjoyed this, lots of emotions running through, lot’s of maybe triggers too because it really deep down is the most emotional book I think I’ve read in a while now. You’ll enjoy this fate written in the stars on in the orchards in this case, and be warned that Ben (Heroine’s little son) and Aiden are the cutest pair in the freaking world, my heart went pitter-patter every time!! You’ve been warned of the swooning!

RELEASE DATE: March 19, 2021

NEW to me author and books. I actually was going through the PR sign up’s and I read the blurb to this and really liked it. Thank you for my ARC.

Paisley and Ty really captivated me from the beginning, their loyalty and the love to one another (makes you only dream about it) and then of course I got broken when it all broke so to say. When Paisley dreamed of forever Ty was battling something bigger. Many years late and Paisley is still the same girl now a woman but can’t deny her heart for Ty. Ty on the other had is the same boy now a man but with even bigger darkness he is battling with himself. I don’t want to spoil anything so I won’t say too much but these two truly will break you and mend you and in the process you will be captivated with each page.

I am always honest with my reviews, as much as this may have been great to read the style is not something I would want to pursue further as in more books by the author. It’s not bad just my preference, I can always tell where I will go on from reading a NEW to me author. I do wish the author the best of course.

RELEASE DATE: March 11, 2021

NEW to me author, and look at that cover yet alone the blurb that catches you. I am grateful to have a ARC of this!

This was a fun read! I say fun because it’s hockey for one my favorite sports romance and two because it involved the heroine in power so to say. The hero and heroine do have a past/history and after 6 years of being broken up and not really in each other’s anything, they both get a very sweet shock to find out that the heroine Jazz is now the owner of the same hockey team that her old boyfriend Lincoln. The fun part in all this is watching the skirt around each other, knowing very well that Jazz still has strong feelings and always had for the hockey hunk. But now everything is forbidden of course, after all she co-owns the team with her brothers, not to mention she has always dreamed of this, so after their father passed and left the term to them, she was excited well, maybe not fully after realizing that Lincoln old be there but excited to start new for her. Lincoln is a man who is not only under appreciated, under played but is sick of it and wants to change it, or leave. But with Jazz as the new owner he knows that messing anything with her again will not only break her and his heart but also his career., so he keeps his distance and tries his best to just have a professional relationship even if deep down that’s the last thing he wants to do. It was fun and heartbreaking to watch these two come together and I LOVED loved the heroine so much in this, the hero too but she took the cake for me.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

RELEASE DATE: March 9, 2021

Not my first read by the author, and I think by now everyone might know that she is one of my top 5 favorite author’s and my 2nd romance read ever back in the day many moons ago. That said I have read ALL of her books but sadly only half of the Rock-Chic (and I have not read her paranormal, not my style) that said there is a slight reason why this didn’t make it on to my TOP 2021 MUST READ list like his brother’s previous Novella. Also heads up this is a rather LONG novella which is awesome already!

This book is about the second Black brother, the younger one, the one that really doesn’t fully remember his late father, the one that really just can’t understand when he grew up that there was a life movie about HIS life about his father’s life and legacy. Jag and his brother comes from a man who was respected and loved, took his mother over 20 years to really cope with it. The heroine in this is someone he knew, well he met her while he was visiting his father’s grave and she was there burring her mother with her family. Both so young but one look and the rest if written in history, actually it was all fate as I see it because they met so young and the grief similar but different. They spend well over 10 years having a hit and miss, seeing each other at times but not really being with each other, until too many years pass and the next time Jag see’s his A was while she was chasing a kid.

The adventure really begins from there, I kind of don’t want to give you much in the book on purpose if you read my review because I truly believe that both of these are so worth diving in. I will say that reading the Chaos series whole would help a lot too. So my hang up is with Archie the heroine, it’s a 50/50 hang up because she resembles ROCK-CHICK heroine style and earlier I had said that I did not manage to get through that because I just, the heroine feel and style was not my thing, but I sure did try. That said Archie is 70& rock chick and the rest the heroine I was hoping for Jag. But here is the problem, I really couldn’t not like her because her heart was all about Jag and that melted my heart, she wanted to be there for him, to fix him, to help him heal and gosh did she give him all the love possible. It’s really heartbreaking for both of them, years later, same grief but so different. Together by fate for sure but that was the easy part, what’s after and how to ‘keep’ it is all up to them two, and this books really shows the love, passion, commitment and how deep A LOVE can go.

NEW to me author and books. I was approached by the author to read this sweet Novella!

This was a interesting read, I was not expecting what I ended up with. In a good way that is. Set in a quarantine feel, the heroine is feeling lost, and turns to her phone. You can understand that when I say that what I mean. But what she didn’t expect is for her past to be present. Was it fate that payed the part or a insanity moment for the heroine that can’t believe a second chance is right there, but will it be possible?

I really enjoyed this book, it had lot’s of laughter, fun, sweetness and romance. I even teared up at times. Glad I gave this a go and I appreciate that the author provided me with a ARC!

NOT my first read by the author, big fan and I have read almost every book by her. Including Book 1 in this series which was my first 2021 read and my first TOP 2021 list item. So I knew this was going to be amazing as well, and it did not disappoint!

Beckham and Troup, where do I start. Well for starters these two have known one another, so they have history. Both have had a hard life from the beginning and living through well hardship is all I am going to say. But together, from the moment they became a one *SWOON & LOVE* these two are the perfect couple, you can’t not love them together! This kind of THERE IS A LOT TO IT. They both wanted to be together, when they did fast forward 8 years and even then they kept in touch, knowing that they truly belonged together and that they did. In the end or the beginning they get married, even work together in a way but then things fall apart so hard *sad tears* Troup ends up in prison and Beckham ends up alone and in a situation (I’m not telling you) and well she is determined to be there for him and with him…even if Troup serves her divorce papers while he is incarcerated. Everything from that point is like a new beginning, I would suggest reading book 1 but honestly this was so amazing by it self on it’s own too. I don’t want to say more because you really NEEEEEEEED to dive into this. I am so flipping excited for more and happy Lani decided to give us her version of a MC Romance *nailed it*

What he didn’t expect was going home to help with a family matter only to discover Tinley has told the biggest lie of all.

NEW to me author and books. I do believe I may have read one of the author’s books many moons ago but do not remember it so I am treating this as a new to me author and after reading the blurb I really wanted to read it and was happy to find out I was selected to receive a ARC.

Okay I will say it first this type of story line and trope happens to be one of my favorites because something about second-chances that involve more than just broken hearts, really gets me going and thankfully this one kept me engaged the whole time. It’s a heavy doze of push-pull, second chances aren’t always paved easy and this one was not paved at all, just a bunch of rocks and obstacles in the way…one big one at that. I really did enjoy the angst and story line, Alex is a sweetheart and it took me a little to warm up to Ignacio and Tinley but once I did and of course got further into the details I understood where she was coming form even if I wanted to smack them both upside the head multiple times in the story. Glad I gave this a go and enjoyed myself along with it. Will be trying out more books by this author in the future.

R E V I E W ➠ The Crush by Penelope Ward

It’s natural to want the one you can’t have. And for as long as I could remember, I’d secretly wanted my brother’s best friend, Jace.
He was six years older and always treated me like the sister he never had.
Fast forward a decade.
We were all in our twenties now. Jace had moved in with my brother, Nathan, and me to help us make ends meet after our parents died.
It was just the three of us—an odd family dynamic.
Living under our roof, Jace was as bossy and protective as ever.
But he certainly didn’t look at me like a sister anymore. That was what made things so complicated.
I was pretty much hot and bothered twenty-four-seven.
And he was torn.
The signs were subtle, at first. Like on movie night, I’d casually rest my leg against his, and he wouldn’t exactly shift away.
Still, I assumed he would never…go there.
Nathan would kill us.
The knowledge of that wasn’t enough to stop the inevitable, though.
Eventually our slow burn exploded.
But more than the physical attraction, we’d developed a strong connection.
We just couldn’t get caught, right?
That sounded simple.
Until it wasn’t.

Not my first read by the author, I am a huge can and have read all of her books from beginning to now!

Okay I have to say it but THE FORBIDDEN in this give me ALL. THE. FEELS. and I am loving it. I am going to try and not give out too much, after all I do spoiler-free review’s but this one it’s going to be hard not to blurb it out. This is a forbidden, brothers-best-friend reverse romance. I say reverse because it did feel a little backwards at the end but there is a reason. And I do have a little downfall because of the actions through out the book the ending did feel kind of rushed. Yes there is a reason but still felt rushed. That said here we go:

Heroine is the ‘little sister’ who lost a lot at a young age, only has her older brother who is very protective of her and JACE the hero. Jace is 6 years older and them 3 had a very weird family dynamic, after Farrah’s parents died he moved in to kind of help out. After a night where she couldn’t hide her feelings anymore she finds out that Jace has been feeling the same but it all felt so wrong. Fast forward 3 years, we come back to a HARD Farrah I mean who could blame her, I would have guarded my heart very much so too. With her current asshole of a boyfriend, she is glad that Jace is back in Nathan her brother’s life because their friendship means a lot to them. But what does it mean for Farrah’s heart? Can second-chances really happen?

That’s all I am going to say because otherwise I’ll just spoil it. It’s not a tradition time line, you get both POV’s and there is a lot of where the hero and heroine are dating other people, at the beginning there are some personal minor triggers but I will be honest and skipped over that small part (what can I say I really wanted to get the full feel of the story) glad I stuck with it, it was definitely unique and a slow to fast back to slow burn type of feel. But the epilogue will have you SO HAPPY!

Beautiful story of 3 people whoa re forever bound by an event, where a forbitten romance struck that never stood a chance against and a love shared not just between the main characters. Lot’s of depths, definitely wish it was longer as always I crave that with Penelope’s books but I’ll take what she gives us. Highly recommended, pure Penelope fashion writing!

R E V I E W ➠ Hard To Score by K. Bromberg

(Play Hard #3)

I’ve signed numerous players to my family’s agency—I assumed winning over my next client would be just as easy.
The last thing I expected was to run into the boy who took my first kiss and broke my heart: only now Drew Bowman is all grown up.
Sexy. Scandal-tainted. Second-string. The crush I never got over.
I tell myself work is the reason I can’t get him out of my head. I tell him his talent far outweighs his position, and I know I can help. I lie and lie, because admitting that I want a second chance at my first love is impossible.
Some lines cannot be crossed, and ours was drawn in the sand years ago
I’m supposed to hate her
I’ve been told so time and again for ten years – her father ruined our family, smeared my name before my career even began
But that’s not what I’m feeling now
Brexton Kincade just strode out of my memories and onto my field
Driven. Determined. Grown up. The Capulet to my Montague
Being with her would be an unforgivable sin against my father, but I can’t resist the pull between us. Even if it means hiding what we have. Even if it means confronting the secrets I’ve always feared were lies.

RELEASE DATE: February 16, 2021

Not my first read by the author and I have read all the books in this series!

I wasn’t sure what to expect in this one but I FELL IN LOVE! This is a second-chance that I was rooting from FROM PAGE ONE! I enjoyed every single page, every turn, every look, touch and even the sad! Drew and Brex share a very long history, but what drove them apart? That’s something you’ll have to dive in to find out but will say that it will keep you on your toes but mostly destroy you emotionally!

Drew was carrying the world on his shoulders, spinning to keep his family afloat but also trying to live his own life. Having to downplay his talent more years….until he runs into Brex. You would think them being in the same work field they’d have done that many years ago but no, he kept his distance. When they see each other again, it’s not a love at first sight look of love. The history they shares is one sided, meaning Drew believes what he has been told and lived with and Brex has no idea what the problem might be. It takes them a little to warm up but something about Drew being vulnerable in ways and Brex loving him…SWOON and all the emotions! Highly recommend but also the whole series!

R E V I E W ➠ Call You Mine by Claudia Burgoa

(The Baker’s Creek Billionaire Brothers #4)

I’ve been best friends with Beacon since we were kids. We shared everything, even our first kiss.
Now that we’re adults, Beacon’s been cockblocking me on my quest to find Mr. Right. No matter how hard I try to find love, he’s always getting in the way.
My shy, awkward exterior doesn’t help. After all, Beacon’s the cool one, not me—I play the cello at Carnegie Hall, and he’s a heartthrob.
The famous frontman of the band Too Far From Grace. Every woman wants him, every guy…either wants to be like him or wants him too.
I decide to play devil’s advocate, and hire Beacon to teach me the dating ropes. Maybe if we work together, we can find me a guy we both approve of.
Except, moving to Baker’s Creek to work on this experiment isn’t working the way I planned. Seems like he’s doing everything to convince me that I don’t need a man. After all, I have him.

The Baker’s Creek Billionaire Brothers series is a romantic comedy saga packed with the perfect mix of angst, tears, and laughs. If you like strong heroines & alpha males, steamy romances, and witty love stories, this series is for you!

RELEASE DATE: February 2, 2021

Not my first read by the author, I read the blurb of this and knew I needed to read it. It’s a best-friend-romance with a slow burn!

This was so beautiful, two best friends brought together by or for one passion. These two best friends who once ‘tried it’ are in for a surprise because they can’t seem to forget or want to…they keep going back and forth but the friendship…that’s the most important part about them and neither wants to ruin it. I don’t want to give out too much but Grace the heroine she is looking for connection, someone to share with…just something to complete her. When Beacon the hero realizes his sweet Gracie has a list, things to check off (that yes include sexual) he jumps on the chance to “teach” her in hopes to maybe make her realize he is the one for her. But the strange part in this is that they DID TRY IT and Beacon was the one to pull the plug. So it’s an interesting turn of events through out the whole book. I was hooked on these two, had so much fun watching them around one another, fun, sexy, sweet and adventurous. The best part of all this is THE SECRET that brings out a whole new level of things, like I said I am not giving out too much but definitely recommend diving in.

R E V I E W ➠ Strong Enough by Kelly Elliott

Dirk Littlewood had the world at his feet and a life he claimed to love. He was a world-champion bull rider with plenty of women to keep his nights busy and make his inner loneliness nothing but a delusion.
Dirk’s life was exactly how he wanted it.
Until it wasn’t.
The moment Merit Eden showed back up in Hamilton, Montana, everything was turned upside down. Life changed immediately and then tragedy struck.
Merit was the only woman who could bring Dirk to his knees—and the only woman who could heal his broken past. If only he’d let her in, they could heal each other in the process.
The only thing left for Dirk to do was figure out how to not only forgive himself, but accept forgiveness from the only woman he had ever truly loved…if only he was strong enough to withstand the heartbreak.

RELEASE DATE: February 9, 2020

Not my first read by the author, I love Kelly’s books and have read a lot of them including the rest of the series books.

I don’t know where to begin but I want to explain myself first so when reading this you don’t get the impression that this is a bad book. I have personal preferences triggers (I really don’t want to detail them because to really will give out the book) there are just some behavior and actions of the hero and heroine that personally don’t sit ell with me and it makes it harder for me to accept and enjoy them. That said, this one contained a few, and one of my main reasons I didn’t give this a full 5 or more stars (which Kelly’s writing alone deserves) is because of the Angst. When I say there is ANGST in this I mean UBER-ANGST, considering who the hero and heroine is, that was expected, but to me there was so much that I started to resent the hero and feel sorry for the heroine who to me started to look like a bush-over. It just made it to where I couldn’t accept the hero’s apology and see them together I was skeptical after so much angst.

This is the final book of the series and a very drama, angst, painful and real book. The hero is Dirk who if you’ve read the other books is the ‘other guy’ from the trio Brock, Dirk and Kaci (when you read the whole series you’ll understand, don’t want to spoil anything) but that said, the heroine is actually the very best friend of Dirk, Merit…she has been in love with Dirk since she was little and sadly she has always been pushed aside…this is where my heart broke for her the whole time, I wanted to smack Dirk so so so many times because gosh I FELT HER PAIN so so much! There is a lot to their story, it’s not an easy romance but a well worth fought one. Lot’s of corners, turns, surprises and tragedy. Although I had a little bit of a hard time getting through, I am glad I pushed because it was in the end worth it. Beautiful story!
