All of these author’s are NEW to me reads. I will say that there was a lot of them I enjoyed and a lot that I skipped through a lot because they either are a trope that even for a TABOO-SEXY read I could not enjoy (i.e. cheating or fucking two guys (sometimes brothers) just the way it’s written not more as a erotic but a story and I hated it) they are steamy yes, you get a little bit of a story along with it to, clique of course they are short stories but I will say that first one with the priest *turn up the heat* here is what you’ll get inside:

Sweet Blasphemy – A Priest Romance (got my approval)
Always Been You – An Adopted Brother Romance (got my approval)
The Attack Zone – A Boyfriend’s Brother Romance (COULD NOT CONNECT)
Bittersweet Revenge – An Age Gap Romance (got my approval)
Dirty Secret – An Ex-Boyfriend Dad Romance (got my approval)
Hating Mr. Cooper – A Best Friend’s Dad Romance (got my approval)
Unwrap Him – An MM Guardian/Ward Romance (COULD NOT CONNECT)
Through The River — Into The Woods – A Taboo MMF Romance (got my approval)
Stray – A Step-Brother Romance (got my approval)
Illicit Hearts and Broken Virtues – A Foster-Father Romance (got my approval)
Sugar Daddy Santa Claus – A best Friend’s MFF Romance (COULD NOT CONNECT)
Baby – Forbidden Age-Gap Romance (got my approval)

These are definitely twisted and taboo. Some of them turned me off but that’s because I personally just did not enjoy them or couldn’t connect with the writing style. It was a lot of fun to read I will say that, gets you all tingling everywhere 😉

R E V I E W ➠ The Devil’s Crown by Monica James

Part One

I was feared.
Respected.
Worshiped.
But all of that changed when the impossible happened—I fell in love. Only those feelings weren’t reciprocated, because who could love a monster like me?
My empire crumbled. People died. I went from being a victorious leader to lurking in the shadows, planning revenge on my half-brother who now reigns in my place.
An orphanage is where I find sanctuary, but when she walks into my world and evokes a yearning I thought long dead, my demons are awakened and want what they can’t have—her. Sooner or later, I knew I’d need to feed the darkness inside me.
Mayhem, power, and control course through my veins. I will use them to regain my crown, my throne, and then claim her, despite what solemn vows she might’ve made.
I will break them…and her.

**All The Pretty Things Trilogy Spin-Off**

RELEASE DATE: July 21, 2020

We’re like desperate, starved animals pawing at one another, wanting to rip the other apart.

Aleksei

Not my first read by the author, and I am a huge fan of her dark romance and well all her books but the dark, she does it well!! So happy and honored to be on her ARC team and received this first hand! I dived right in with no expectation BECAUSE I have a love.hate deal with Alek (please ALL THE PRETTY THINGS Trilogy) I can’t say it fully because it will ruin it. But because of that, I’ve bene on the fence about Alek…

Alek is ruthless and I mean that in all the forms in EVERY form, but even from the trilogy I learned something about him…his heart (or a piece of it that’s left) is HUGE! I don’t care what you say but his weakness may be common in someone eye’s but beautiful to me. Definitely have a weak spot for him, aside from all his bad-ness! This was sinfully delicious! And I say that with respect to “HIM” but talk about being all kind of ways of fucked up after this…

This is all I am going to say about it because I just finished and I like writing my reviews just as I finish so it’s fresh in my mind and my emotions. I was a MESS. An utter mess by the end, what’s worse is HOW DOES ONE WAIT TILL SEPTEMBER for more? As tragic as it was, dangerous, sexy, sinful, deadly…in a way Alek’s story truly is a forbidden act. I am leaving it at that, it’s a cliffy so yeah!

R E V I E W ➠ DISARM by Karina Halle

GOODREADSAMAZON AUTHOR WEBSITE

Seraphine Dumont seems to have it all: she’s gorgeous, brilliant, and part of one of France’s most illustrious dynasties. But underneath the facade, Seraphine struggles to hold it all together. Besides grieving her adoptive father’s suspicious and sudden death, she also shares a tenuous role in the family business with Blaise, her in-name-only cousin. As tumultuous as their history is, he may be the only member of the deceptive Dumont family she can trust.
Seraphine is a temptation Blaise can’t resist. The torch he’s carried for years still burns. It’s his secret—a quiet obsession just out of reach. Until his brother demands that he spy on the increasingly cagey Seraphine, whom their father considers a dispensable Dumont outlier. But the more Blaise watches her and the closer he gets, the more he sees Seraphine may have every right to be suspicious. And she could be the next one in danger—from his own family.
As blood runs hot and hearts give in, Seraphine and Blaise have only each other. But can their love survive the secrets they’re about to uncover?

She’s not telling me to stop. She has a war inside herself too.

Not my first read by author, and I have read Book #1 DISCRETION in this series, which I would recommend reading first and I enjoyed very much!
In this book I had a harder time connecting, I don’t know if it was the characters together or the story but it just felt off a little for me. Little disappointed since I loved Book #1 very much.

This slow-burn, taboo, enemy to lovers was not what I expected, there were lot;s of parts where I was on the edge reading but other parts where I got little lost and read off. This is a VERY SLOW-BURN or rather foreplay notion between the hero and heroine. This is where I would recommend reading Book #1 for it to really make all the sense. Lot’s of drama and suspense too. The epilogue is little short, wish there was more and like I said earlier, great read I just…felt little off for me. Not your normal plot line. I appreciate the chance to have gotten an ARC from NETGALLERY for this!
